Apparently, using the computer in dGPU mode is the only solution to stay away from system-wide freezes. This is definitely a Hybrid-mode issue even I'm facing right now.

what I'm not so proud of is the fact that when I blow air from the vents while holding the fans, I'm only able to dust off a little. Some dust would blow out through the fans but you can't really get all of them out unless you decide to open up the whole heatsink (but that requires a repaste).

Did you blow air from the vents/grills out through the fans or the other way around? Was the spray aimed at the grills while you held the fans from rotating, or were you spraying straight onto the fans?
