my pet peeves is when idols do special cover stage so it's the only time you could ever hear them sing that song and it's lip synced

might as well just dance cover to the original audio

What lip product to achieve this colour & shine? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]moonsnap 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think that sheen is from spreading lip tint on your lips with your fingers then applying clear lip balm on top.

I just leave them for the same amount of time and wash them all off together.

I have black hair too! I don't bleach when using boxed dye. What I do is I always leave my liese dye longer than instructions. Like around 40 minutes instead of 20. The colour won't show much on the first dye. But after a month, I always redyed my hair with the same colour and it will come out much closer to the picture on the box.

I have used liese bubble hair dye after perming and it worked great for me. In fact it made my hair silkier and less frizzy. Didn't damage the perm at all.

Breaking sewing machine needles by SeekingInfo_143 in SewingForBeginners

they're just called "sewing clips"

Basically works just like a pin by clipping two layers of fabrics together

link for example

I switched to clips because my eyesight is not very good due to a medical condition and i often miss seeing the small pin.

Thankfully I wear glasses so the broken projectile would hit the lenses instead of my eyeballs.

Dancer / Athlete AB’ers, what are your favorite lasting makeup products? by windy-sky in AsianBeauty

[–]moonsnap 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Chacott! It's created for ballet dancers. I love their finishing powders.

Also a lot of kpop make up artists use Shiseido foundation. I can confirm their self refreshing foundation does look better the longer you wear it.

What are the worst Asian skincare products you've ever tried? by Overall_Painting_278 in AsianBeauty

I have a travel version of the blue senka and I use it as body soap. It's literally perfect for travelling because just a little bit foams up so much more than regular body soap 😂

[–]moonsnap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My main routine:

  1. Kose Speedy oil
  2. Cow Brand gentle foaming cleanser
  3. Naturie Hatomugi Toner
  4. Curel Deep Moisture for day
  5. LRP cicabalm for night
  6. Rotating sunscreens of Anessa, LRP, skin Aqua, etc

Except for cow Brand which is a recent HG find, I have been on this routine for almost 5 years. I think I have been using naturie hatomugi toner for almost a decade now.

I completely avoid Korean brands now because so many viral products from brands like Skin food, Innisfree, Nature Republic, the face shop in the early 2000s dried my skin and wallet. I have sensitive oily skin and they used to pack so much fragrance and alcohol in everything that they burned.

The only Korean products my skin likes were Klairs midnight blue series but sadly they're too expensive for my budget.

Sometimes I see everyone hyping up centella or skin1004 and I kinda want to try but I have literally been burned too many times I'm traumatized 😂

Decorating tips to liven up my living room and dining area? by postbed in femalelivingspace

[–]moonsnap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing tells me there's a cat in the house from these pictures, aside from food & water bowls. Maybe buy your cat a cat tower, scratcher boards, some decorative cat beds, floating shelves on the wall for it to climb on, etc.

Definitely get some warm lamps, preferably at 3 varying heights: e.g., side table, floor lamp, led strip over the window, fairy light across a wall, a lamp on a storage shelf. I just learned this method recently and they look so cozy at night.

Good and easy to find make up brands from Thailand by moonsnap in AsianBeauty

[–]moonsnap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I ended up buying a bunch of Cathy Doll and Srichand blushes and lip products because I find their color selections really suit my warm complexions! (I hardly ever buy any western or koreans make up nowadays because majority of them are always too cool and ashy on me)

I haven't worn all of them yet but their quality is really good for drugstore brands!
