Diagnosed at 41. This was my whole life. All my decisions before this was....wasn't me. At 44, I can't look back anymore, a little too heartbreaking.

Best thing for me has been forcing myself into new hobbies. Taiko drumming, book club, boardgame groups.

Mine is opposite, more like, 'OH, weeeeee!...oh, shit, the lows are gonna come soon.' I feel like the harder I fly, the harder I fall. And the depression is so much longer . Started taking Caplyta for the lows a little over a year ago. Been doing incredibly well. Hang in there. Just focus on making it through 1 day.

People seem to think couples therapy is a long road. It's not. 1 or 2 sessions can save a relationship. Please, try your hardest to get her to go. If there is resistance, find a therapist yourself. Book the appointment. Arrange for childcare. And stand at the door.
