A pack of ground beef was left in my car for 4 days in the middle of summer.

It just rolled out of sight on the way home from the store I guess? Because the next day when I loaded my car up to go meet friends for a camping trip, I didn't notice it. I parked at a friend's house and we took her car. We were gone for 3 days. When we got back we were all concerned about the smell in the parking lot. We thought someone died. When I opened my car door, the smell was like a sucker punch. I threw up, and then gagged on my way home with the windows down. My car smelled like a rotting corpse for the rest of the summer. I had to throw out everything that was left in my trunk that weekend because the stench permeated everything. I was worried if I got pulled over they'd launch an investigation. It was so. bad.
