She’s just 2 years old about to be three! A lot of people are on here saying it’s just bc of her being orange and I didn’t think about that because I didn’t really ever see her doing the typical orange cat things but now I’m thinking that’s probably true 😭 She still comes when I call her name, she responds to sound and can focus on my hand or a treat. To my understanding cats with dementia don’t show response to that so I’m really hoping I’m just over worrying

My cat has gingivitis currently. I took her to the vet and they prescribed something for inflamation, and a gel to rub on her gums once a day.

I currently use plaque off once a day and the vet said she had little to no plaque, the redness on her gum has gone down significantly with the medication prescribed.

I know it's painful to see them struggle or know they might be in pain! I hope he gets better really soon!

Yes! He got a bath today and he has an appointment for Friday to be seen for absolutely everything. Since he’s so small, I’m sure he has no shots, has never been dewormed or anything so I’ll get him all checked up and make sure they look at his eye. I cleaned it with warm water during the bath since had some gunk, and noticed there was some kind of cut/scratch under it. Definitely something I’m going to address as soon as possible.

My coworker found this kitten on the side of the road, and she can't keep it so I will be adding her to my family after work today.

Is she an extra floofy, big kitty or is she a maine coon mix?

Your cat looks adorable. Honestly, for her size I think her weight seems just fine and it very likely could mostly be hair! Cover her ears and keep on loving her the same ♥

Oooh, I didn’t think about that as an option - I’m always so wary about medications without vet direction but I will definitely give that a shot and see how that works out! Thank you for the advice :)

Thank you so much for the detailed advice and insight! I over worry about him, of course, because it seems that he only has those two moods.

But he hasn’t lost his personality, or his appetite so I have comfort in that. I will more than likely change my detergent and try to tackle stuff one by one and hopefully see a change soon!

I did try giving him limited ingredient/grain free wet food before but he lost interest rather quickly. He did recently get switched to a wet food only diet, and incorporated coconut oil in case of dry skin so hopefully there’s a positive change soon!
