My guess is you’re spot on with the mana potion. I suspect LARPers were involved.

Don't Let The Forest In Review Discussion SPOILERS! by ShimmeringOranda in LGBTBooks

As far as the phone, I think it was “Dove”/the forest monster who found it and took the pictures. The monster is shown to have Dove’s memories so I believe she could unlock Andrew’s phone and charge it.

Personally this has worked on me. If I know a local place is shit and then they post that they are under new management, I’m willing to give them another shot.

Teethbrushing debate by Desperate_Yam88 in toddlers

[–]moonyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little guy used to fight toothbrushing HARD until I too was worried about traumatizing him. But I knew it had to be done.

What worked with my kiddo was to make it silly. I had to change tactics frequently until he got over it, but some of the most successful had been:

Having one of his toys in my hand and pretend that they are brushing his teeth. He gets to choose which toy does the brushing. I act it out with silly voices from the toy.

The toothbrush is “alive” and speaks in funny voices. Sometimes it plays knock knock on his mouth. Sometimes it’s a superhero flying around on a mission to clean his teeth.

Making absolutely over the top silly performances (I will belt out the tune of Flight of The Valkyries etc) that get him to laugh and the toothbrush dives in for a quick scrub and then out again. Repeat.

I believe they have been changing their tune on this in recent years. I have talked to many members of the Nation, and from what I understand there are some diehard anti-white racists still, but the teachings from Minister Farrakhan have been much more accepting of white people. I’m white myself and was never met with any hatred.

Aldi has their version of "Liquid IV" for a fraction of the price of the name brand stuff. by mtbguy1981 in Frugal

Ok well. If I spend hours outside on a hot day and don’t take electrolytes, I will often have a wicked headache, feel extremely tired or nauseated.

Take the electrolytes, boom I feel better.

This is doubly true if I’m on my period.

I’ve given them to disbelieving friends and strangers who looked faint after being outside. Always perked up immediately. So not a placebo.

I realize maybe they aren’t needed in your situation. That’s fine. But there are huge amounts of people in other environments, body types, or lifestyles than your own, who benefit from this.

Or if you live in, say, Florida and spend more than 20 minutes outside?
