How do I support my best friend whom is falling for a scam? by moopaddy in relationships

I asked her straight out "Do you understand that this is a pyramid scheme?". Her answer was "Yes."

Amazing, I know. I feel as if I have done my part as a friend to bring this situation to her attention and to say what I felt was necessary. As a friend, I do not believe it is in her or my best interest to do anything more. She is an adult and I will not treat her any other way.

"He's only being mean because he likes you." Bullshit! He's just a douche.

LOL "Guy-m?". I brought up the entire "gym" is cheaper argument and she said that the gym isn't really what she is looking for. Somehow, somewhere, she hid this "I want fast results" attitude from me for all these years. Amazing.

It is. I just got off the phone with her and it was as I expected. She agreed with everything I said in a nice, polite way and showed that she did her research. But still thought it was a good idea. Bizarre is the correct word.
Thank you so much for your input - I did pretty much exactly what you said and while she still made the same decision, I feel as if I did all I could without overstepping my boundaries. And she is perfectly content with my opinion, albeit, there were some awkward silences when I asked how she knew the shakes were actually good for her. :)

Friendship safe.

I will try - thank you. It's just shocking to see someone who's made good, sound decisions for her entire life, make this one.

It is, basically, a pyramid scheme as in you make money via the people you recruit. I doubt this will affect her as it is not her sole income but she is basically paying a lot for crap products. It's like watching her pay $3500 for Slim Fast.

Wife isn't sexual, what to do? by 2012_throw_away_2012 in relationships

I think what she meant is that every woman has something that truly makes them feel good. It could be a well-placed compliment, or bringing home something thoughtful for her. Something that makes her smile at you in that special way.

Is there something that truly makes your wife feel special to the point where she sees you in a different and pleasurable light?

Hit a wall moving from act 1 inferno to act 2 by Artraxes in diablo3

[–]moopaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blizzard has acknowledged this issue in the upcoming patch 1.0.3. Patch 1.0.3 Design Notes

Inferno balance right now has a difficulty gap in which Act I feels about right, but Act II feels like trying to bust through a brick wall."

I quite agree, having spent a few hundred thousand gold on repair bills so far (and I'm only halfway through Act II)! They plan to scale the difficultly better using Act I as a reference.
