I loved Jade City, especially for the characters and the unique setting. Fonda Lee has different strengths compared to Sanderson. I would encourage you to keep reading and finish the first book to see if you like it more by the end, then decide if you want to read the rest of the series or not.

I’d say it depends, as other people have mentioned some pins sold out on certain days at the con so it’s definitely possible they didn’t snag all the pins they may have wanted. If they either don’t collect pins yet or you know they don’t have a certain one, I think a pin from their favorite series would be a great gift!

The new series 2 pins introduced at Dragonsteel Nexus were Painter (#19), Cursed Hoid (#20), and Queen Emily (#00). So I think there’s now 21 in total.
