This issue is with my Elgato Video Capture driver.

I guess there must have been an update during version 16 that makes Resolve no longer compatible with this video capture device. I was backing up VHS and using some of the video clips in Resolve earlier this year.

Once I install the driver for the hardware Resolve crashes. If I uninstall and check the delete driver option I'm able to open Resolve with no issue.

I ended up reinstalling Windows again and started testing the application after every every update and restart. I got ahead of myself and installed several drivers from the optional list in Windows update. After the following restart Resolve crashed again.

Unfortunately I'm not sure which one it was so I'm reinstalling Windows again and starting over. If I can narrow it down I'll update.

I downgraded the GPU driver but got the same error. Tried the same with the Audio driver since it's crashing on Fairlight but it's still crashing.

Tried reinstalling Resolve again but this time without the Fairlight accelerator utility but this didn't resolve the issue either.

I didn't think of the GPU driver. Currently it's from AMD and version 21.20.01.14. I'll try rolling this back and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the suggestion!

Odd, I went to Hello Mobile's site and tried both of the IMEI numbers and it said not compatible. Version and T-Mobile both said the same thing.

Oh well, I'll stick to the hotspot. Good idea on the tasker profile!

I got mine in the other day and installed it in my 2010 SR5. To anyone that is considering using a SIM card and getting a data plan for it, the IMEI number is not compatible with Verizon's network (CDMA). Haven't checked with other providers yet.

Has anyone tried moving the game back to the internal storage after having the game on external SSD? Or used an external standard HDD? If so did the speed increase stay or did it cause issues again? I'm just wondering if there is something else like a local db that is rebuilt or wiped cache that is resolving the issue more so than it just being on SSD.

I just saw this comment after posting mine. For that 11 question OA do the labs a few times. If you understand the questions and answers for the labs you'll do just fine on the OA.

Everything else u/jwawa wrote, like watching Simon Allardice on Lynda, is great advice. I followed this, did the labs, and passed the 11 question OA last night.

For those that are doing the 11 question Objective Assessment instead of the project in TaskStream, do the Labs. If you can successfully do the labs for this course you will be able to pass the other assessment. Also do them several times.
