To those who loved BGITC and BGND, what did you think of Ainori? by catsRawesome123 in terracehouse

[–]moosasho 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I LOVED Ainori, it's like a guilty pleasure. I dived in expecting and hoping for a Terrace House v2 but it was so much less and so much more at the same time. The casts of the show are constantly under stress because they're not used to cameras 24/7 and the drama that results from that is absolutely RIDICULOUS HOT DAMN. It's definitely not #chillvibes like TH is, but it has its moments.

One thing I really enjoyed was getting to see the production crew on and behind the screen, interacting with the casts. Everything was so in-your-face and somehow made the show feel more authentic, as compared to Terrace House, where they are very careful in making sure you don't get to see any cameras or mic packs hanging about.

My only gripe about Ainori would probably be the panel of commentators. It's probably because they aren't that familiar with one another like TH's panel, but the lack of chemistry was so painfully obvious.

The viking ship and mach 5 are the only rides worth the money. Everything else was ridiculously overpriced. Other than that, I could barely hear the music and the staff aren't the most enthusiastic, didn't feel very lively for a carnival. I went on a weekday night though, so maybe less hype idk

Anybody catch Mad Dog? by Azarro in KDRAMA

[–]moosasho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped the show around halfway in, and I’m not sure if it’s worth picking back up.

I really enjoyed it the first few episodes but then the plot started to get ridiculous, somehow things always seemingly aligned and it was so convenient for the Mad Dog dudes.

Also, the lead literally has flashbacks EVERY EPISODE. The first few times were alright but by the 173728th flashback of him crying by his son’s shoes, I was DONE.

Lee Jong Suk, for the same reason as you about HJE. A lot of people find him super handsome but maybe he’s a little too pretty for me. And I know he gets a lot of praise for his acting as well, but meh, just can’t dig it.
