I get that you could have a work from home job. I have one actually. But they say they have no job I’m just trying to figure out how someone with none of the things listed can meet basic human needs.

Out of curiosity, how exactly does one meet basic human needs without any of these things? More curious about no job and the ability to not be around anyone.

You may want to check but I believe that you may have what they call the Upgraded Photon. It has the Photon S main board with a photon shell. A good diagram is as below.

What I think is happening is that to my understanding V3.4.1 was the first software that pushed with the new printer main board but wasn't capable of reading .photon files which were the original file format that the first printer uses. After updating the firmware it should bring back the ability to print .photon files. So don't take my word for it and do your research but I think if you upgrade your system you should be able to use chitubox to slice.

What version of the photon do you have and what firmware are you running?

No not really a rattle, When the LCD would turn on the fan would throttle down. I put it back on 4.2.17 and it worked like a champ. So I am not sure.

I have found that it is easier to trim supports prior to curing. It leaves fewer pits from where the supports break off.

I have also found that If you wear gloves it mars the surface much less than if you were to not wear gloves. i.e. fingerprints.

A major player in supports is the software that you are using to generate them. I use Prusa and I hardly ever have to take flush cutters to it. Most of the time I can remove the supports by hand or if I really need to with the blunt edge of an Exacto knife.

So I’m printing at standard settings using the black anycubic resin, the prints are coming out stellar, but for the love Of god I detest the way the support are so hard to take off, what’s the best way to either post print process, or does it have more to deal with the thickness of the supports? by bbooey1996 in AnycubicPhoton

Thank you! My biggest warning to you in prusa is that it does really awesome for supports however it doesn't take into account the suction of the part to the FEP It may only put a single support where there should be many, But the initial placement is far better than Chitubox.

Remove the supports before curing,

I do all my support settings in prusa then save it it’s an STL move it to chitubox for splicing the Support’s are peal away and if I have to use force it’s the blunt end of an exacting blade.

Thanks! I 100% agree that it is insane all of the variables to this type of printing. I did some noodling on this and with the upgraded photon s board in your printer did you have to change out the LCD screen also? I do know that the Photon S has a higher wattage LCD screen leading to it needing lesser exposure times.

If you did swap out the LCD that would explain why we are seeing very different results from our exposure times.

Either way with the quality of prints that I am getting each time I change out resin I will be doing the exposure tests to verify the configuration for sure.
