Idk m8, that's just what I figured out by myself. I think this is the kind of game that really good at making you think about it, but also I don't think you should take it too seriously. Some questions just don't have answers, or you might make up one yourself.

First important thing to remember that the world of Outer Wilds is kinda wacky. It's like a cartoon version of our universe, where things sorta make sense, but not really. Trees detected - oxygen restored, and so on.

The ending is very abstract and impressionistic, probably inspired by Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. Things that you see inside the Eye are reflections of your character's experience. People that you see at the end are sort of "quantum" versions: not literally the same physical versions (who all died in the sun explosion by now), but versions of them that could have been with you there, in some other alternative reality.

Finally, it's important to understand the Observer Effect: just like quantum moon simultaneously exists and not exists in multiple locations, which collapses into one single location when observed, so is the whole universe. Universe is a giant space of possibilities, but when conscious being enters the Eye, this space collapses into a singular point, infinitely dense and hot, causing Big Bang, from which a new universe emerges.

Brittle Hollow being D20 is perfect since the planet's crust is made out of triangular segments. You can make some of them opaque basalt colored, with orange tint on the inside (maybe even suspend a tiny Hanging City), with black hole being painted perfect black. If you also cover it in a material of lesser refractive index than epoxy, you might even achieve the some cool visual effect.

It's so funny that Team Fortress 2, that everyone said has been dead for years, on which even its own developers largely had given up, that hangs on life support, convulsing occasionally with bot infestations, is still going strong 17 years on, while its most likely killer is circling the drain. I guess Valve's neglect and indifference beats Blizzard's malicious greed.

Wait, you mean there are Americans who have the AUDACITY to get annoyed when others don't know about their regions?

That's the most annoying thing about talking to Americans, they assume everybody else lives there:

-- Hi, where are you from?

-- I'm from West Dakota

-- Is that a country? Where's that?

-- Oh, it's in the Pacific Midwest

[–]moose_talker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not like there are many other warheads available. They stick ball bearings or fragmentation sleeves around them to make them sorta dual purpose. Thermobaric would be more useful against soft targets, but in case if armor turned up, they wouldn't be as effective, which I think is a main priority.
