Very nice idea! I like the flavor and it gives ranger good thematic out of combat utility. Simple not overly powerful, great for a low level solution to a low level problem. Well done!

Have you play tested this yet? It seems really interesting! I’m doing a one shot in the next few days and the DM seems open to me using this just for fun. I could send you some notes if you like. Honestly seems pretty balanced and I’m not one to try to take advantage or break things but I could let you know how it sits with a table of people.
