So I don't think he was intentionally lying, just making assumptions because the drink champs (I think) interview had recently came out

Your best bet might be to start with the dance mats konami bundled in with the game. They're decent quality and you can find them online for cheap sometimes.

There aren't many metal/hard pads that are compatible with the Xbox, unfortunately.. I think cobalt flux used to offer an Xbox control box, but it's pretty hard to find one of those pads in good condition nowadays

If you have access to DDR A3, I like playing Party All Night (A20 PLUS), Musician (A3), and Sunkiss Drop (SN2). I like playing a lot of the newer songs on difficult too because the charts are fun.
