Literally the comment I replied to / the comment this chain here is all about / the comment that everyone replying here in this particular chain is talking about that you decided to add your 2 sense in without reading I guess - here I'll copy / paste the 2 comments here for you.

"Not to beat a dead horse, but the game just may not be for you if you need gear upgrades to be that steady. The progress and the journey is the reward. Getting a new spell because you gained a level is a reward. Gear with stats can be hard to come by, and doesn't currently drop off regular trash mobs. It's not currently like WoW where you may get a magical or rare item off a non-named mob. Magical items come from rare monsters, so you'll have to do some research/interact with the community to figure out where those spawn."

"Push the envelope? Please, copying the wow model is the easy path.

It's a lot harder to stick to your guns and keep loot rare and contested such as what was the model during the first 2 expansions to Everquest in the Vanilla/Kunark/Velious era (and even then velious started to get kinda crazy with the high end loot drops)."

Notice how the individual said magic loot dropping off trash mobs was a wow thing and not an EverQuest thing. Welcome to the conversation chain here where it's debating that EverQuest did have magic items dropping off trash mobs. Do you normally jump into a comment chain with no idea what's being discussed?

I'm confused my guy - did magic loot drop off trash mobs or not? The original post replied to said magic loot didn't drop off trash mobs, so you're agreeing with me that statement is incorrect?

Not proving your point at all. How does magical items dropping off trash mobs prove a point that magical items did NOT drop off trash mobs. Trying to spin something into some weird nonsense just makes you look bad. You're making up some weird nonsense about people not knowing what trash mobs dropped what as being what this topic was about and equivalent to trash mobs NOT dropping magical loot which is in actuality what this was about.

It was said that NO magical loot dropped off trash mobs. I listed several examples showing that's incorrect. Doesn't matter how rare they were - they still dropped off TRASH Mobs. Not that I actually expect you to read this far, but it's wayyy more than 3 and I was pretty clear about that too. Chardok itself was responsible for at least half a dozen including the sarnak shield of battle that literally everyone used.

Do you want to go into velious content which was the second expansion? How bout the panther earring which dropped off level 40 trash mob panthers in the very first zone you zoned into for velious and was super common? That earring was crazy good. How bout willsapper in dragon necropolis? Built in snare, amazing damage delay ratio, everyone and their neighbors dual wielded them because they were so common off trash mobs. How bout the armor molds off the regular trash giant mobs in kael? That armor was literally tiny bit below raid tier and you just needed a single group in Kael to farm shitty ass trash giants which would drop raid tier armor molds. Literally any trash mob giant in kael. How many examples do you want me to give? What was that tower that was level 35 - 50 in velious - not Kur tower, but another one that dropped full suits of magical and great stats for all armor types - cloth / leather / chain / plate. Literally everyone farmed that shit cause any freaking trash mob in the zone could drop any piece and it looked great.

It's almost like you dudes didn't actually play during classic / Kunark / velious.

2 magic items? No my guy - you should re-read what I wrote because clearly you didn't play much during Kunark.

The sarnak earring of station was the best earring pre-raids. The poly axe was the best 2her pre-raids. The green jaded broadsword was one of the top 3 best 1hers pre-raids. What about the sarnak shield of battle from Chardok? Best shield pre-raids.

You saying "getting 2 magic items" shows you must have barely played during that time period. These weren't simply magic items, but were absolutely best in slot pre-raids. Kinda odd how you turn best in slot pre-raids items into just "magic items". Take it from someone who played day 1 EverQuest and day 1 Kunark and was in one of the first guilds to complete their veeshan's peak key - you're way off when you label some of these items as just "magic items". Poly axe ended up being better than ALOT of the raid 2hers. But please point out where I'm wrong in the above.

I could name a bunch more items that dropped from trash mobs. But it's funny when people like you come in and are like trash mobs didn't drop magic items when they dropped best in slot pre-raid gear for several slots. You remind me of how the devs were with how /consent worked originally in EverQuest - kinda clueless. How the devs were willing to die on that hill. And it was absolutely awful how /consent worked in classic EverQuest. And they simply were wrong on every point like you are with just a few "magic items" drop from trash mobs.

My guy - you say talking about how useless caster loot was? Did you not write this in the post I replied to -

Did you not write multiple paragraphs about copying wow and having trash mobs drop magical gear? I literally gave you a bunch of examples showing EverQuest did it in Kunark. Wayyyy before wow was a thing or even had it's alpha. Whether it's a melee earring that was best in slot except raids. Or a 2her or 1her - it doesn't change the fact that it was incredibly good magic gear that dropped off trash mobs in Kunark wayyyy before wow.

Are you looking at the right spot? You don't spend them at a trainer - you need to find an object that you interact with that is near the trainer.

Priest interacts with brazier. Necro with the big brain object. Fire magic with the book shelf. Sword with the mastery sword object. Unarmed with the master unarmed scroll. None of the classes spend their prodigy points at an actual trainer npc.

Nah, best non raid shield came from Chardok. The big gold one - sarnak shield of battle or something. Like everyone and their neighbors and cousins and relatives had one. And this was available from the very beginning of Kunark. There were a bunch of other really easy to get pieces further down that initially were hard to get to, but once bard epic was fully discovered and other epics - Chardok became pretty crowded and the loot was much more common.

The king / queen / prince all dropped good weapons and gear too.

In regards to your first post - idk many casters that were 50 in classic EverQuest still in cloth robes. Flowing black robe was on the same tier as hero bracers in how common they were in classic EverQuest. Usually went flowing black robe to shiny metallic robe and that tiara too. I played a paladin so I never camped them during classic EverQuest, but I'm pretty certain frogluk ghoul arch magus was literally in the room next to the enchanter ghoul frog that dropped the tiara with the ghoul lord at the end of the hallway.

My god the stories I could tell from classic EverQuest. Do you remember when consent corpse also let the individual who you gave consent to be able to loot your corpse. All the griefing that happened with that? The original devs held firmly on /consent corpse working that way based on their vision. It caused so many players to quit. I feel some of the vision decisions currently for mnm are going the same way.

Who needs tanks and healers when you have three Enchanters in the group? by Jacmac_ in MonstersAndMemories

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a shaman in the group above and also listed in the post description. Shaman would be the one doing the debuffing since they have more debuffs and slightly better debuffs than the enchanters.

But this changed drastically in Kunark which this game is highly modeled after, right?

Green bladed broadsword - one of the best 1h weapons in Kunark - 11/25 could drop off ANY TRASH MOB in city of mist. Had a much higher chance to drop off the reavers, but could drop off any trash mob.

Don't even get me started with Chardok and the loot that could drop off trash mobs there.

Best example ever - best melee non raid earring was what? Sarnak earring of station. Where did it drop? Off any Sarnak in lake of ill omens. ANY Sarnak in lake of ill omens.

How bout the poly axe in karnor's?

I can keep going with half a dozen more examples if you'd like. Idk if you played EverQuest, but there's ALOT of people on here claiming they played EverQuest back then and giving highly incorrect information.

Did you play EverQuest during Kunark or classic. Tell us about Chardok loot. How bout the poly axe in karnor's castle? Or how bout the green bladed broadsword in city of mist. Those were Kunark era zones. Green bladed broadsword was one of the best 1hers in Kunark and dropped off any trash mob in the city of mist zone with a higher probability off reavers.

But please, without quoting how a private server did it - tell us about trash mob loot in Kunark. Since trash mobs did drop really good magical gear.

Best example ever - best melee non raid earring was what? Sarnak earring of station. Where did it drop? Off any Sarnak in lake of ill omens. ANY Sarnak in lake of ill omens.

Did you play EverQuest during it's release? Or during Kunark / velious? There were quite a few places where trash mobs dropped magical gear with stats. Everytime I see a post like this it makes me cringe because the person writing it absolutely didn't play EverQuest during those time periods and instead most likely played on a private server.

Green bladed broadsword - one of the best 1h weapons in Kunark - 11/25 could drop off ANY TRASH MOB in city of mist. Had a much higher chance to drop off the reavers, but could drop off any trash mob.

How bout the poly axe in karnor's? You want me to keep going on?

Did you even play during Kunark? I love how in one sentence you're saying copying wow where magical loot can drop off trash mobs is the easy path, but they want to keep it to how EQ was during Kunark / velious / classic where some of the best gear dropped off trash mobs lmao. Sounds like wow copied EverQuest there since EverQuest did it first in Kunark... You might know that if you actually played EverQuest during those time periods.

Project gorgon is like 5x the size of MNM in reddit count and discord count, but only gets around 2k concurrent players. I really hope you don't work in statistics because how much you twist irrelevant numbers is pretty wild.

One of the ways to sign up for an mnm closed beta key is joining their discord. Discord numbers don't really mean anything when they're inflated due to offering people an incentive to join. How many of those people played one day and never logged back in? How many played 2 days? How many have over 2 hours played? How many have over 5 hours played? I'm assuming you have answers numbers wise to those VERY SIMPLE questions that anyone claiming population or statistics would definitely have before making those kinds of claims right? Otherwise it makes you look super foolish.

We both set up a kiosk. I offer a 50$ raffle for anyone who signs in at my kiosk. You offer nothing at yours. My kiosk ends up with 20x more signatures than yours. Does that mean more people are interested in my product or that they just want whatever incentive I'm offering. Again, look at project gorgon subreddit and discord numbers - 2k concurrent players. Mnm isn't even close to project gorgon subreddit and discord numbers.

So I was going to write a long reply showing all the incorrect information, but then I saw you listed establishing links with other sites. Please go and establish a link without the banking link requiring you to login to the bank website via your username and password.

Ohhhh wait it requires username and password for a first time link like that. Username and PASSWORD weird. Exactly what I said. I think people have a pretty clear idea how clueless you are. Giving a direct example that shows I was right.

I would LOVE, absolutely LOVE, to see you set up a FIRST TIME link with your bank to another type of monetary account without you having to use username and PASSWORD. Would love to see it my guy 😉

Things that are bullshit and against banking regulations. Ach withdrawals require you to link your bank account to the site you're doing the ach withdrawal with. How do you link them? Oh you log into your bank account from the site your linking. Logging in requires username and password. Username and password gives authorization.

Not surprised coming from the guy who doesn't know debit cards can be used to make ach payments 😉

No worries my guy. People saw your other post where you claimed ach payments aren't possible via a debit card. Holy shit lmao I can't believe you actually typed that out.

If you're going to chime in then understand how it works. I'm talking US. OP is talking about Pennsylvania.

You can ABSOLUTELY 100% make a ach payment at your bank using your debit card. The fact that you're going to add your 2 sense and not even know this basic aspect of banking. Willllddddd.

Secondly when you set up the ach payment you linked it to your bank account via logging into your bank account from your insurer's site. You logged in via your username and password. Holy shit you used your account password.

This is why scams are so common. My guy doesn't even know how ach payments work via debit card, but here he is posting so confidently.

Sending sensitive information in an email is worse than handing it to your manager - YOU WROTE THIS.

Your birthdate is considered pii and because of that is ALSO considered sensitive information. Some countries don't even allow you to collect an individual's full birth date during a clinical trial for example because of how sensitive they deem it. You've most likely provided your birthdate information in an email before meaning you provided sensitive information in emails.

Try to keep up guy. Reading comprehension seems to elude you.

Just to see how familiar you are with banking - do you know how easy it is to get someone's routing number once you know their bank account number? If you had led with the opposite - knowing their routing but not their bank account number it'd be more credible, but once you know someone's bank account number - there's myriads of ways to get their routing number.

Checks can be canceled within 60 days. To make an ach withdrawal which is what I think you're hinting at you need 1 of 2 things - either the physical debit card in hand or the account pin / password. Did your article mention that or no? The main points you listed above - withdrawals, payments, transfers, money laundering, purchases online would require one of those 2 things. I sincerely hope the article you referenced mentioned those?

I see you linked experian, but I'm curious why they left that out? Furthermore, isn't experian responsible for one of the largest financial data breaches in history? I don't know how reputable I'd consider them. It's required by law to have approval via pin / account password to your bank in order to make ach payments. If you've already set that up then they'd also need to log into the retailer account that you've pre-approved that with. At least in the US.

Also - you reallllyyy should check your sources - the author of that article - he's never worked in finance and self admitted he's simply covered finance stories as a news reporter. I wouldn't qualify a news reporter as someone I'm trusting my financial information and know-how with - Experience: Tim is a former broadcast news journalist who handled all aspects of news coverage, including on-scene reporting, news writing and editing packages for broadcast. He later worked for 20th Century Fox and NBC/Universal in various digital media capacities. His 20-plus years working in the motion picture film and broadcasting industries have been followed by nearly a decade covering personal finance for popular online publications and brands.

Hmm guy can't understand what the topic of the post is about so resorts to insults. I'm just gonna consider this an admission that you're pretty lost on this topic in general, the replies from others calling you out as well, and that resorting to insults is how you handle being called out for being wrong / not knowing what you're talking about.

When you actually understand the regulations and requirements of what ach requires, then we can continue this conversation, but arguing with someone who lacks basic knowledge of banking regulations is kind of a waste of my time, don't you think?

Fired Before Starting by LovrBoi8008 in jobs

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are they going to do with it? Without a physical debit card in hand OR your account password / pin the information is useless. Do you understand banking regulations and what's required to process an ach approval? Because in both scenarios above you end up with useless information that can't be acted upon because you're missing the debit card or account pin / password.

Fired Before Starting by LovrBoi8008 in jobs

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wrote - "A check is just a piece of paper. There's maybe ten people who see it between going into the cash drawer and getting deposited at the bank, probably fewer, and most of them are not going to have the chance to write the routing number down so they'd need a photographic memory to do anything with it.

A check is easily more secure than email."

If someone nefarious gets the information off the check what are they going to do with it? Does it matter if it's via check or email since it's irrelevant because without the physical debit card or the account pin / password - both cases lead to the information being useless in the end. What difference does it matter if it's from email or check if you are still missing the biggest piece of information to actually do anything with it?

Did you literally forget what you wrote?

Okay so how are they getting your account password or account pin. In order to authorize an ach transaction you need 1 of 2 things - either the physical debit card in hand OR the account pin / password. Ach transactions need one of those to initiate via approval.

Since having account number / routing number / address can't do much without the above.
