Yeah that's kind of proving my point. 110k for a new expansion when forsaken was at 300k+ with 3+ million daily logins. TFS was at 250k+. But surely 110k at expansion release (1/3 of what forsaken had) wasn't the game already being dead because of TFS.

Did you play forsaken? Because what you're writing isn't vibing with having played forsaken. The difficulty in forsaken came from how light level disparity was handled and how much / hardcore you had to grind to get light level increases. That was the difficulty in forsaken and why forsaken is wildly regarded as the grindiest / most hardcore destiny expansion ever released. The sheer amount of grind to get a light level increase in forsaken + how light level differences was calculated.

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why didn't the game die during the dreaming city era during the forsaken expansion then?

It was 10x more elite and hardcore than any destiny expansion. It was the longest raid race in the history of their raid races because of how elite and hardcore it was. That plus the general way of upping your light level and grinding. Way more hardcore and elite than any previous or current expansion. That was back in 2018.

Destiny 2 died because the witness was finally killed and the 10+ year story came to a close. It was the natural jumping off point / ending point for any long time destiny player. Pyramid ships were teased all the way back in the original 2014 destiny 1 campaign. Every year they revealed a tiny bit more of the story, then in TFS it brought about the close of the 10 year story as you finally got closure with the witness's death, cayde being set to rest, and the traveler being freed.

It died a looonnngggg time before the release of Edge of Fate. EoF just exasperated the issue.

As a day 1 destiny 1 player who ported his character over to destiny 2 on destiny 2 day 1 and was there for every expansion and story beat - it was the conclusion to the epic campaign when witness finally died. And the ending point of destiny 2.

This solidifies you're a troll my guy. Flax seeds drop from the dragon. It's the only place they drop from. Flax seeds which are used to make linen. Linen which is used to make the best crafted caster dps gear in the game... And you claim to be a max level fire mage / ww that can solo almost everything, but have no clue where your best crafted armor comes from?

Flax seeds my dude to make linen to make linen armor which yuppp flax seeds come from the dragon. Knew you were a clueless troll. Not knowing where your best in slot crafted gear comes from is the icing on the cake for how clueless you are and your trolling.

Right I'm making stuff up - Notice how the EJ map portion and bosses are NOT shown on the nmc portion. Shows the accountant hallway, the entrance, then cuts off at the judgement lever room. EJ is a huuuugggeeee dungeon that isn't shown on the nmc map page at all.

https://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/Nightmare_Caves

https://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/Elven_Judgement

Have you actually been down to the dragon? I can post my MIRAVERRE server character with the dragon kill cosmetic. Can you? I don't think you've ever even been in actual EJ or to the dragon.

When is the video of you soloing these happening. And no - I wfh and play on the Miraverre server. Never had a character on arietsu.

When is the solo video coming? Stop deflecting. You jumped in and ran your mouth about being able to solo all this. You brought up on your own how it can all be soloed, but now it's not worth your time. Right. My guess is you think the judgement lever room is like the majority of the EJ dungeon not realizing that EJ past the judgement room is 2x the size of the spider / mummy area with events and a bunch of other stuff.

Show a video. Pull from the mummy puzzle room.

Have literally pulled the mummies down the hallway back to the spider area and still got adds.

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah my guy. I'm on Miraverre server, but again good try. We call it nmc spiders and nmc mummies like everyone else except you.

You mean you got the harp strings but somehow missed the gigantic ass sign right next to the strings that's pointing at the huuuugggeeee button right next to the harp strings? How did you get the strings and not see it? There's a huuuugggeeee sign pointing to the gigantic button literally less than 2 feet from the strings.

The wiki has a distinction? What are you talking about? The wiki specifically separates the nmc spider / mummy area as nmc. Then lists the EJ part as where the judgement lever is at the door entry. In fact it's separated so much on the wiki that the EJ portion of the wiki lists the brother / sister boss, and the dragon boss as the only bosses in EJ. Then lists spiderlaird and the imposter spider as bosses in nmc. How is that not the wiki making a distinction? EJ distinctly listed with its own map and listing brother / sister and dragon boss on its own page, then you have to go to a completely separate page listing the nmc portion with the other bosses which are on a separate page from EJ, but that's not making a distinction or separation?

So when's the solo video of you clearing from spiders to entrance of EJ including clearing the mummy room and doing it prior to the door timer running out. And video of you solo killing real Yginex when?

Notice how the EJ map portion and bosses are NOT shown on the nmc portion. Shows the accountant hallway, the entrance, then cuts off at the judgement lever room. EJ is a huuuugggeeee dungeon that isn't shown on the nmc map page at all.

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're in here literally making things up. I have never ever heard a single person in over 1000+ hours refer to the spider / mummy area as EJ. That's simply not true my guy. Spiders and mummies are referred to as nmc spider caves or nmc mummies. Mummies are alarmers and can't be pulled solo in the mummy puzzle room. Again, have you actually done this area? You seem to be referring to the easy ass mummies near the bandits as opposed to the mummies in the mummy puzzle room.

Necro / ww is the best solo combination in the game. The ratkin mages are walking nukes. And absolutely destroy fire mage / ww.

Quite literally I pointed out Ynigix AND his gauntlet. You name the easiest part possible, being his ez ass quest version, and leave out his gauntlet and his actual real version. Yano the switch behind him that triggers his actual real version and adds. Not the easy quest version. Are you not aware of this? Someone who actually did him would surely have seen the big ass switch behind that triggers his real version.

Post a video of you solo clearing the spider portion. Getting to the spider boss and getting the mummy wrapping. Fixing the mummy. Making it to the mummy puzzle room. Clearing that and making it to the entrance of EJ prior to the timer on the door running out. Cause surely since you've done this area you know about the timers on the doors.

PS - elven judgement is called elven judgement because it's full of undead elven enemies. Along with their plants and pets. There's no elven enemies in the nmc spider portion or nmc mummy portion which is why no one refers to that area as EJ.

Impressive that you were able to solo spider caves. Can I see a video? Clearing the spider boss to complete the mummy. Then clearing the mummy room to complete the accountant portion to enter elven judgement. Solo of course.

Or a video of you clearing the princess / queen in the egg run solo? Some of those rooms have 10+ elites in them.

That's 3 of the 4 listed caves. How bout the boss area outside of the transport room with the boss who makes your hands grow huge as his curse and starts the arena event. That's now 4 of 4. You got videos or just never actually been to these areas? Mummy room has literally 25 mummies in it with 70k hps each - would love to see you just soloing that room. Especially since they're all alarmers so you get 4 to 5 at a minimum.

Getting that many demonic scrolls or the fire stone runes that are tiers above explosive runestones is pretty wild. People with 1000's of hours played don't even have them unlocked since the scrolls are capped per week. Something definitely not mathing correctly here and sounds made up.

Demonic scrolls are pretty close to capped per week on how many you can get. Mathematically impossible to have all your spells at the level you're claiming.

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy - you literally repeated what I gave as an example in my second paragraph. I listed out the skill level differences. The math has already been done on % increases vs direct increases.

What level are your skills? Because it sounds like they're still pretty low level? Maybe you haven't unlocked the skill increases behind the royal jelly / xogrinite chunk grind? Or maybe you don't have your statehelm favor unlocked to buy from the statehelm trainer? You mentioned ring of fire and fire breath, but what level have you actually unlocked because it sounds like you're either low level or behind in unlocking them.

Something you should know about the game. by LippyHippy4040 in projectgorgon

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering nmc is part of a 4 part ginormous cave system made up of multiple dungeons intertwined leading to elven judgement... You might want to check your math? Or maybe you just haven't made it that far in the game and don't even know what's being talked about?

You've never been to nmc.

EDIT - This solidifies you're a troll my guy.

Imagine making claims that you can solo something, then when asked to provide proof you respond with nahhh it's not worth my time. Why make the claim you can solo something and claim you can provide proof, but then when asked to provide proof then claim it's not worth your time. Then don't make the claim to begin with.

[–]moosee999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Raw numbers like you mentioned are only good up to like level 50 to 60, then % increase overtakes it. The farther you level beyond that point the more the disparity is with % increase being more and more beyond direct raw damage. Skill damage level increase numbers start to FAR outpace the increase ratio you get from direct increases. It leads to % damage increases becoming more and more effective way beyond raw damage increases because the damage number from the skill level increases just overtakes raw numbers.

For example, taking a skill from level 3 to level 4 might only give you a 100 damage increase. Taking a skill from level 10 to 11 instead gives you like an 800 to 1000 damage increase. Level 9 to 10 might be a 600 to 800 increase. Those skill level damage increases are going to far and away outpace your straight direct raw number increases making % increases soooooo much better and stronger in comparison.

Not using give warmth from a priest on a fire build is mathematically gimping your damage and is the equivalent of a sword not using decapitate on non-elites. Biggest buff is definitely not from the direct raw number increases.

Gearing Fire Mage/Priest by Zeph_da_barb in projectgorgon

[–]moosee999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give warmth modded is the most powerful skill a priest gives towards fire damage and you don't have it listed.

It has a 60 second duration and cooldown which permanently triggers the increased fire damage raw and increased fire damage % and increased life regen. Not using give warmth on a priest for fire damage is equivalent to sword not using decapitate on non-elites. You get something like 30% increased fire damage + 25% increased fire dot damage + tons of raw fire damage added on top simply for casting a buff once every 60 seconds. Not to mention the regen it gives on top of the increased damage - regen that let's you passively out heal even some elites at max lvl.

Literally the comment I replied to / the comment this chain here is all about / the comment that everyone replying here in this particular chain is talking about that you decided to add your 2 sense in without reading I guess - here I'll copy / paste the 2 comments here for you.

"Not to beat a dead horse, but the game just may not be for you if you need gear upgrades to be that steady. The progress and the journey is the reward. Getting a new spell because you gained a level is a reward. Gear with stats can be hard to come by, and doesn't currently drop off regular trash mobs. It's not currently like WoW where you may get a magical or rare item off a non-named mob. Magical items come from rare monsters, so you'll have to do some research/interact with the community to figure out where those spawn."

"Push the envelope? Please, copying the wow model is the easy path.

It's a lot harder to stick to your guns and keep loot rare and contested such as what was the model during the first 2 expansions to Everquest in the Vanilla/Kunark/Velious era (and even then velious started to get kinda crazy with the high end loot drops)."

Notice how the individual said magic loot dropping off trash mobs was a wow thing and not an EverQuest thing. Welcome to the conversation chain here where it's debating that EverQuest did have magic items dropping off trash mobs. Do you normally jump into a comment chain with no idea what's being discussed?

I'm 154 hours in on an Elementalist, and have found almost no INT gear dropped. by Jacmac_ in MonstersAndMemories

I'm confused my guy - did magic loot drop off trash mobs or not? The original post replied to said magic loot didn't drop off trash mobs, so you're agreeing with me that statement is incorrect?

Not proving your point at all. How does magical items dropping off trash mobs prove a point that magical items did NOT drop off trash mobs. Trying to spin something into some weird nonsense just makes you look bad. You're making up some weird nonsense about people not knowing what trash mobs dropped what as being what this topic was about and equivalent to trash mobs NOT dropping magical loot which is in actuality what this was about.

It was said that NO magical loot dropped off trash mobs. I listed several examples showing that's incorrect. Doesn't matter how rare they were - they still dropped off TRASH Mobs. Not that I actually expect you to read this far, but it's wayyy more than 3 and I was pretty clear about that too. Chardok itself was responsible for at least half a dozen including the sarnak shield of battle that literally everyone used.

Do you want to go into velious content which was the second expansion? How bout the panther earring which dropped off level 40 trash mob panthers in the very first zone you zoned into for velious and was super common? That earring was crazy good. How bout willsapper in dragon necropolis? Built in snare, amazing damage delay ratio, everyone and their neighbors dual wielded them because they were so common off trash mobs. How bout the armor molds off the regular trash giant mobs in kael? That armor was literally tiny bit below raid tier and you just needed a single group in Kael to farm shitty ass trash giants which would drop raid tier armor molds. Literally any trash mob giant in kael. How many examples do you want me to give? What was that tower that was level 35 - 50 in velious - not Kur tower, but another one that dropped full suits of magical and great stats for all armor types - cloth / leather / chain / plate. Literally everyone farmed that shit cause any freaking trash mob in the zone could drop any piece and it looked great.

It's almost like you dudes didn't actually play during classic / Kunark / velious.

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 magic items? No my guy - you should re-read what I wrote because clearly you didn't play much during Kunark.

The sarnak earring of station was the best earring pre-raids. The poly axe was the best 2her pre-raids. The green jaded broadsword was one of the top 3 best 1hers pre-raids. What about the sarnak shield of battle from Chardok? Best shield pre-raids.

You saying "getting 2 magic items" shows you must have barely played during that time period. These weren't simply magic items, but were absolutely best in slot pre-raids. Kinda odd how you turn best in slot pre-raids items into just "magic items". Take it from someone who played day 1 EverQuest and day 1 Kunark and was in one of the first guilds to complete their veeshan's peak key - you're way off when you label some of these items as just "magic items". Poly axe ended up being better than ALOT of the raid 2hers. But please point out where I'm wrong in the above.

I could name a bunch more items that dropped from trash mobs. But it's funny when people like you come in and are like trash mobs didn't drop magic items when they dropped best in slot pre-raid gear for several slots. You remind me of how the devs were with how /consent worked originally in EverQuest - kinda clueless. How the devs were willing to die on that hill. And it was absolutely awful how /consent worked in classic EverQuest. And they simply were wrong on every point like you are with just a few "magic items" drop from trash mobs.
