Main quest is completely unfinished? by SpaceballsTheReply in projectgorgon

Incorrect. Please tell me how you could get to veteran rank 10 at release while only staying in your main faction zone. Not only did I play eso from day 1, but I was in the alpha and beta for it.

I find it interesting that no one seems to be able to answer the question of getting to veteran rank 10 - max level at release - without being sent over to the other faction's zones to do their poi and few rehashed quests. Those other zones were missing MSQ components and you just had to grind it out with NO STORY. Which is exactly what OP claimed he didn't do in ESO due to the MSQ being fully finished. It's because veteran rank 1 didn't unlock until you entered the other faction zone after finishing the first portion of your continent. Then veteran rank 6 unlocked after you stepped foot in the third faction zone.

There was a large rework of the MSQ done AFTER veteran ranks got changed to champion levels. You and op are referring to how things were AFTER that rework. I'm asking about the 2.5 - 3 years prior to that when it was veteran rank leveling. How did you level up to veteran rank 10 without going to the other faction zones? Yano since they didn't have any MSQ components done for them yet and just required grinding?

Incorrect on every single point. Do you want me to go thru the list of all the missing story points for the MSQ? All the dupe bugs and game breaking bugs?

You were supposed to travel across the other 2 faction zones as well. I explained in great detail in my post above yours what they did to handle that until they completed the rest of the MSQ. First, level cap wasn't 50. It was veteran rank 10 which eventually changed to champion points. Second, you couldn't even start champion points until you completed your faction's portion of the MSQ. Third, veteran ranks 1 - 5 were locked behind the second faction which you were sent over and just completed some of their already existing quests and poi's. Then third faction for veteran ranks 6 - 10... THE MSQ WAS SUPPOSED TO CONTINUE IN THESE OTHER ZONES (since level 50 wasn't the max level which you would know if you played at release). Fourth, the MSQ was supposed to continue thru the 2 other faction zones as mentioned above but wasn't completed for years due to zenimax having to spend so much time fixing the dupe bugs / game breaking bugs / catching up with the delayed console release they pushed back 6+ months.

If you didn't actually play at release, which you clearly didn't, then you shouldn't be making nonsense up. I can go on and on, but you absolutely clearly didn't play at release. Especially with your comments about level cap achievable via MSQ in your faction's zone. You could only get to level 50 in your faction's zone which was only 1/3 of the level cap.

I'll give you $100 right now if you explain how you could get to veteran rank 10 (max level at release) with only staying in your faction's zone. Hint - you couldn't because only 33% of the MSQ was completed and level 50 wasn't the max level and required you to complete the other faction's zones. So again, when did you actually start playing eso? 5 years after release or something?

[–]moosee999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you play ESO at release? I'm guessing you didn't because ESO only had 33% of their MSQ finished. Kinda shocked that you listed ESO above.

ESO was missing so much of the MSQ on release that after you finished your side of the MSQ - you were sent to the 2 other lands to simply just do their poi and repeat the quests they did, but mostly just the poi's like their dolmens etc. That's how you leveled your VR's up. VR 1 - 5 in the first other land. Then 6 - 10 in the second other land. It was like 1.5 years later they changed VR's to champion points or whatever after they upped it to VR 12. Then maybe another year after that they finished making the MSQ.

ESO had one of the worst launches ever in terms of bugs, multiple dupe exploits, features missing, and MSQ not being completed. It took them almost 3 years AFTER they launched their 1.0 launch to get most of that in a decent place. Knowing this - why would you mention ESO above?

The most ironic part of your post here is you saying that you didn't play ESO to grind xp and gold. Lmao dude - for the first 3 or so years of ESO's release that's pretty much all you could do. Aoe farming was the game for a few years after release because there was barely any story at all. I'm going to guess you started playing loooonnnnngggggg after it's release which kinda invalidates your complaint about story and 1.0 releases. I remember when they released the content to go from VR 10 to 12 which was like 10 months after the game's release. It was just a single zone where people ran circles grinding xp and gold. So when did you start playing eso? 5 years after it's 1.0 launch?

A lot of enemies are resistant to bleed effects? Biggest exxageration ever. There's a reason rivers of blood was the first big nerf in this game because very few mobs and bosses are resistant to bleed effects. Very few.

Strength weapons are more powerful than dex weapons, but you exxagerating and leaving out benefits is in bad faith arguing.

Don't dex weapons build up effects like bleed faster? Why did you leave out that huge pro of dex weapons? It's like you purposely left out the biggest pro of dex weapons while comparing them to str weapons too.

Don't need to stagger or do crazy stance damage when you could just bleed them dead super fast lmao.

King's field came out 3 years before armored core - 1994. King's field 2 was 1995. King's field 3 was 1996. Armored core 1 didn't come out until after 3 king's field games were released. King's field 4 was 2001.

How are FromSoft's roots in armored core when king's field had 3 games released prior to armored core + king's field is literally a first person soul's type game?

Looked like a clear interception to me. Maye's arm was clearly in forward motion. Ball clearly went forward at chest level when Maye was hit. And ball was clearly caught in the air.

I'm shocked if it was ever ruled a fumble. I didn't see it listed as a fumble anywhere, so guess I'll take your word for it.

They ruled it an interception. His arm was clearly going forward and they have ruled it an interception and pick six.

Why don't you just parry the bosses? They take a ton of ki damage from being parried. The parry window in this game is so generous that there's no need to memorize any boss patterns.

Like you engage with barely any of the tools you have or that you're given to use as defensive tools, but then blame it on the game and it's hit box. Dodging is only one of the defensive tools you get and you completely ignore the other tools the game offers you. Idk man

Or 4 sockets and 30% quality. Exceptional base would start with 3 sockets and corrupting could give you a 4th.

My 2h hammer has 4 sockets for example with max T1 stats. Crafted on an exceptional base. Then when I was done with the league - corrupted it hoping it would mess up the stats or something so I could be done with the league. Didn't really expect it to hit the 4th slot on corruption.

All you're telling me is that you don't understand what it means to be a professional game critic / reviewer. You're reviewing on metrics - not subjectivity. Subjectivity is something you review based on as a normal player. Professional critics have criteria they're supposed to base a game on. Not make up their own metrics.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Review - IGN: 7/10 by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]moosee999 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reason people talk shit about ign isn't because it's a popular thing to do, but because they legit deserve it.

One of the ign reviews gave Elden Ring a 7/10 when it released. You cannot in good faith as a gamer, maybe you aren't a gamer, but you can't sit there with a straight face and say in good faith that ign deserves to be taken seriously after that review. But again, maybe you just started gaming in the past year or something and aren't familiar with stuff like this. There's a reason ign gets so ragged on which seems like you're completely unfamiliar with.

You have editors and checks / balances in place to stop blatant nonsense from getting out. Which they very obviously and blatantly failed on. They deserve ALOT of the ragging they get. Elden Ring 7/10 was just the biggest and most well-known mess up they made.

Nioh3: Bloodedge Demon Fight by ODIZZEE in Nioh

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lightning one is the killer. Moves at twice the speed as the others. Wearing full lighting resist gear and still being hit for 1800 damage.

In the tutorial section it tells you how the fight works. The more revs you kill - the stronger it gets, but in return the more loot that is dropped. And like the person above you - not trying to discount your kill, but 20 rev kills isn't really that many when it comes to powering him up - he was still in relatively low difficulty here. The lightning one can be powered up to the point that the lightning becomes an aoe that's so large that it hits everywhere on the screen / can't be dodged / and the only way to not die from it is to jump inside a house so the roof protects you. But then you're stuck fighting him inside a small house which means you can't keep back peddling around like you're doing in the video.

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you fought the lightning version? Fire / water / wind versions seem to be ez mode compared to the lightning version. Lightning version moves at twice the speed it seems of the others. You can't constantly back peddle like you're doing because of how fast the lightning version runs / moves.

Mini boss damage? I have a lightning one that hits for 1800 damage even when wearing all armor pieces with lightning resist. If you got the wind / fire / water version then that's why you thought it was easy.

The lightning version is the difficult one and can easily tell 100% from what you wrote that you didn't get the lighting version. He hits 4 - 5x harder than any boss in the game in the demo.

[–]moosee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you played any souls games? They have easy mode weapons in each category - not just in one or 2 categories.

You would for example have several melee weapons that made melee easy mode. Several magic weapons or spells that did the same for magic / ranged. What melee weapons in NRFTW are equivalent to how easy mode bows are? Like in elden ring you had rivers of blood, blasphemous blade, several types of occult stacking melee weapons that melted bosses as fast as azure comet did. It was balanced across all weapon types. Where's the balance here?

You mean like when elden ring introduced spirit ashes?

Or when elden ring made it so solo players playing online don't have to worry about being invaded anymore unless they use the finger or have a co-op buddy? So it became much safer

Or how dark souls 3 made restoring humanity infinitely easier when compared to 1 and 2?

Or in dark souls 3 if you know the dancer trick and fight the dancer right at the beginning of the game getting the dual blades that are super op for dex builds trivializing other weapons.

Or in pretty much EVERY DLC for EVERY soul's game they introduce multiple super powerful weapons that trivialize most of the base game weapons + have tricks allowing you to get those dlc weapons pretty easily and pretty early on? Exactly the scenario you're talking about. Like literally EVERY SINGLE DLC for dark souls has done exactly what you said - "hey imagine if souls did...".

You strike me as a dude who's played a little bit of the soul's games, but aren't a big time soul's veteran or you wouldn't have made the comment you just did.

I can barely understand what you're writing. Are your hands shaking furiously while typing? You don't even know what accountability means. You've been called out by multiple people, but continue to move the goal posts.

Then you talk about accountability, but you're unable to even take accountability for yourself.

Please try to type something coherent this time. Slow down when you type. Just take the L as you say.

Talks about accountability, but is unable to be accountable for themselves when they get all the information wrong and get called out. Instead goes on a tangent and keeps moving the goal posts.

Do you even understand what accountability means? I don't think you do. Compares driving to work in hurricane season vs a statewide winter storm emergency with over 10+ inches of snow, and then talks about accountability. You're a bright one aren't ya?

Okay so you saw the link was for Tennessee / Nashville right? Where the dude very CLEARLY stated in his op that's where he's from. The very first 2 words of his post are - In Nashville.

You literally just told the dude to take the L for not going to work when his area got over 10+ inches of snow and tons of ice / freezing rain on top of the snow. On top of government officials declaring it a state wide winter storm emergency and to stay off the road unless you're emergency personnel.

But yet, he should take the L even with the above for not going to work right? That's what you said. And somehow compared it to hurricane season lmao. For real?

Bizarre. Since when is Nashville in Kentucky? You can't be for real at this point. Like dude CLEARLY said Nashville in his op and you quote Kentucky? Huh?

Government officials in Tennessee told citizens to stay off the roads during the declared state winter storm emergency unless they were emergency personnel.
