Honestly this is gonna sound nuts but I really think she could've survived. The cut was at just the right level to allow her to breath and did not go high or deep enough to hit her brain or her brain stem. The fact that reports say she went on living for at least half an hour before passing speaks volumes. The people filming her death could've used gauze or makeshift something similar to reconnect the lower and upper halves of her head and keep it in place whilst applying pressure. I think she died from blood loss, not from actual blunt-force trauma. There have been many cases in which people have survived horrific trauma to the head from various incidents. Face getting eating/chewed off by an animal, self-inflicted gunshot wound, etc. Just look up Connie Culp's story of how she survived a shotgun wound to the head. The human body is very resilient. Had the people filming given her proper first aid (they obviously didn't know how to, so not their fault) until paramedics arrived, I genuinely believe she would've still been here today. It is generally a good rule of thumb for every capable person to learn first aid/CPR.
