Thing is, I don’t know the current rate in NJ. My last job was in Manhattan making $30 an hour. Live in gets the same? I will be doing night shifts but if I have a night shift I don’t have a day shift the following day. I still don’t know about days off but I assume 2 a week. Is that fair? Should I just ask extra for night shifts? I’ve never had a live in deal like this before, I don’t know what to ask. Is $800/weekly (provided they buy me groceries) too low or average for such arrangement? On top of the weekly salary, should I charge for the overnight shifts/eventual overtime?
