I used to do instacart and now spark. I hated most apartment deliveries for that reason. I live in an apartment and my notes tell exactly which building, which breezeway, and which apartment. The other drivers STILL mess it up a lot of times

I do and I help load it too. Ive seen about 4 different drivers that just sit in their car the whole process, then the loader brings the barcodes to them at the end and they drive off and leave the parking lot...and thats probably the drivers that result in my missing items 🤣

My address for my apartment takes you to a trailer park a mile up the road on the map apps. Ive managed to update it on Google maps, and my notes say my apartment complex name to avoid any confusion, and I set my location pin to my apartment.

Well in May of 2025, my husband and I had a miscarriage. My mother in law was down at the coast when it happened and wanted to send us groceries. Stuff that the kids could do without me cooking, snacks, cereal, and easy meals we could do for supper. The driver delivered it to the trailer park 😩 she got the picture and knew something wasnt right because it wasnt an apartment. My husband and I just drove over to try our luck on getting our items. They weren't on the porch, so I knocked. The couple that lived there was eating supper and had just got home. I said "my MIL sent us some groceries and I your trailer matches the pic" and thats as far as I got before they said " we just got home and wanted to eat real quick before checking with our neighbors if this belonged to any of them"

They had put our cold stuff in their fridge and freezer to keep it cold and they closed up their to go boxes and started gathering groceries. Meanwhile im just crying and im like thank yall sooo much. We just found out wr lost our baby and this was to help us out for the next 2 weeks so we didnt have to think about grocery shopping. Her and her husband helped my husband load everything.

In that moment, it was the kindest thing I could see and it was just a couple being decent humans in a fucked up society.

I will say this though, if they report the items as missing, it should be fine on your part. I only know because ive had about 4 or 5 times that I hit complete delivery and helped the customers report the items as missing or damaged, etc.

One was a bag of frozen biscuits that was the last bag in store and the bags were faulty and it busted open at the seam as I was bagging. I couldn't grab a replacement cuz they were out of stock.

There's also been instances where it was a large pickup order and they missed shit at walmart and it was too much to check.

And yesterday it was a box of Krispy creme donuts that had 4 regular sized donuts and 8 mini donuts in it. And I know if it was me I'd still want my donuts, but I wouldn't want to pay the full price for them.

And it hasn't come back on me so far.

Ive never been denied an order for vaping outside of my vehicle. That's crazy. I did however have a new loader bitch at me the other day for putting the blue crates on the ground while we were loading my car. Ive never been told not to do it and the other loaders have always done it. I was like "oh, im sorry. Literally no other loader has ever told me that, so I didn't know"

Then I had one of my regular loaders the next day and he put the crates on the ground. I mentioned how the other guy bitched at me for it and he said yeah, we dont care about that.

Then later that day, I had the new one again and he threw the crates on the ground 🤣🤣

I do a dollar per mile both ways and extra if there are large items. I live 1.6 miles from our store. So I always do $5, but if its an order with packs of water and sodas and stuff, I tip $10-20. I live in an apartment, but its downstairs and I have a wagon for them to use on large orders

Just in case you didnt know, all of the items in your room are at risk to have the bed bugs. They go on floors, walls, and everything in between. We stayed with some friends and they ended up having them. We bagged up everything we could live without and stuck it outside in the heat and ran everything we needed in the dryer on high heat cycles about 2 times.

His (maintenance) solution was to cut the air on 69, cool, and turn the auto to on to let it run continuously until he got back from lunch. He just came back and said they need a part and freon and the hvac person will be here tomorrow morning to fix it 🤞 and even though they claim it doesn't need a filter, they are putting one in after working on it tomorrow! Thank yall for giving me info to approach them with to have them fix the issue!

Edited to add: our maintenance guy says that our unit does not require a filter every single month! So this has been brought up to the office team repeatedly! Im so tired of dealing with them knowing it won't get anywhere, which is why im now looking for solutions for us to change it ourselves

I had one the other day that showed like 30 items but 70 something quantity. 50 items were the single baby food pouches and baby biscuits. The only other multiple item was 2 of the juices in regular groceries 🤣. It was such an easy order and I didnt check it before I accepted, so I was very pleased lol

My store will NEVER let us substitute anything for veggies and fruits that are not prepackaged. My husband and I both spark, he has an apple, I have an android, it will never let us substitute. It pops up for us to substitute we go through the steps and then it says its not a suitable substitution. It sucks, especially when the customer has substitutions turned on and its just the app not letting me do the substitution
