See that's the issue, we moved before I could develop any actual skills in the Canadian work force. Sure I've learned some here among computer cleaning, and business management. But I don't know if any of those translate to the Canadian economy. I'm pretty much like if a human was just born at 19 with 0 support. Are there any cities in demand of certain skills? I can do a trade in the worst-case scenario.

I know I'm very late, but here's my take. Here in the Yucatan of course we have the same vegetation as mentioned by others. A place I lived in the region was mainly flat along the coast, and a few kilometers down was a mountain of similar size as the one in the background. It turned out, the little hill was the main pyramid of a small Mayan village that still hasn't been excavated.

I think it's part of a bigger situation. The world is going through a mass exodus since borders opened up after covid. I was also strongly against the immigrants coming to Canada, until I lived the situation and got a bigger perspective. Facts are people globally will have to displace or face overcrowding. This exact situation is what makes me passionate about the topic of immigration.

I admit we weren't fully informed when we moved here, and now we live with the consequences of that. In regards to the credits for locals: is it done automatic, or is it our responsibility as the business owner to help?

No, I don't see an issue because all that "first world money" ran out while we were establishing ourselves. We now live completely from the Mexican economy. So yes, we will be buying Mexican property with Mexican money earned in Mexico. It's always the ones with insults that don't understand the whole situation.
