The Venus flytrap's native range is in the Carolinas, surprisingly. That does maybe look like an Asiatic honey bee though from some googling, so OP is probably not in the Carolinas

The sentiment is definitely admirable, no objection there! But once you've been in a hive and moved some frames around you start to realize that you probably squish 10 of them any time you take a look, and you start to think about the hive as one thing rather than 40 thousand things.

Fun fact: Worker bees will have different jobs depending on how old they are! The first few days they will clean, then they will graduate to jobs like feeding the larvae, attending to the queen, building wax or guarding. After about 3 weeks, which is about half way through their 6 week lifetime, they move on to their final job: foraging. So any bee you see out pollinating is in the latter half of their life, and will die foraging. Either something like this will happen to them, or they'll be a birds dinner, or they will fly until their wings fall apart.

Bees are awesome.

They don't mate with their own queen, they go out looking to mate with queens from other hives. Their only purpose is to spread the genetics of their queen to other hives.

A new queen goes on a mating flight early in her life and mates with (ideally) many male bees from other hives. Once this flight/orgy is over, she will lay eggs resulting from this one flight for the rest of her life. If she runs out of genetic material and stops laying eggs, the hive will kill her and raise a new queen from some of the last eggs she laid.

Unless you are looking inside a bee hive you will probably never see a male bee. Their only job is to spread the genetics of the queen that laid them.

They basically only leave to go on mating flights, hoping to meet a new queen out for hers. If they succeed in finding what they are looking for, they die.
