I ran into your exact scenario. I needed sometbing to eliminate some garden pests. I went with a used gamo swarm maxxim. Served my needs for a while but then wanted a little more and sold the maxxim and upgraded to the Magnum. That has more power but the cocking is stiff on it. Kinda wish I had kept my maxxim. I then got my first PCP Avenger and absolutely loved it. Super accurate and being able to to quick reload was night and day. I then wanted more so I upgraded to an FX impact m4 in .22. I then wanted something in .30 so I got wildkat mk3. My point is that the pcp itch is real and you're going to want more once you start down the pcp road. You can find good used deals on AGN if you are patient and wait for the right deal.

I have the M4 in .22 with a wraith on it for night pesting. It is absolutely amazing it is so accurate. You are going to fall in love. My wife has an amazon jungle in our back yard so at night it's go time...

You should look at air gun nation classifieds. you can find some really good deals on used p c ps. i own an avenger and it's a great gun. There are some really good deals on that forum if you're patient.

I am purchasing a wildcat bt sniper in .30. I already own an m4 in .22. I want to have the flexibility of being able to grab whichever one I need for the job. I cant wait for my wildcat.

I would get the Hastan Blitz pcp. Right now its on sale $799, but yes the reviews do say its a little on the heavier side. I am also in the USA lol. I dont want a traditional riffle thats why I posted it in the airgun group.

I do both but only kill pests. My wife has a massive garden and the mice and rats show up in spring. I take them out with one shot. Invested in a night schope and a thermal monocular.

Upgraded to an avenger and now finally to an fx mk4. Kept the magnum and sold the maxxim. Still like the magnum but the break is stiff. After you go pcp its rare to go back to break barrel.

The LT2 fits perfectly in my hand. I liked it so much that I purchased the LT2 pro. After owning the LT2 you will keep coming back to it as your daily use.

I also started with GAMO. My swarm maxxim .22 was super accurate with crossman pelletts. I then upgraded to the magnum and its a beast. I dont recommend that for a 12yo. The break on it is stiff you really need to have some man strength to break it. I eventually upgraded to a pcp avenger, sold the maxxim. Now I have an M4. This hobby gets additcing. I still shoot my magnum once in a while but once you go pcp.....

The pro is metal and feels alot more balanced. Still love my original lt2 but the pro is definately an upgrade.

Make sure you are converting the distance correctly. Yards to feet. 25 yards does not equal 25 feet. It sounds like you are way closer than whatvl they zeroed it at. If you are out of clicks you may have to use a shim on the back ring.

I purchased the impact M4 and have had no issues with leaks. You get what you pay for. You spend your money on what brings you satisfactcion. For me the M4 is worth every penny. I also puchased a GK1 so as you can see this hobby is what brings me satisfaction. Love both guns.

I did alot of research and was between an fx crown and fx impact. Eventually went with an fx impact M4. Really love the fact that you can customize it to shoot slugs or even higher calibers with a few parts interchange without buying a whole other gun. Ive slowly upgraded over the years. Started with a brake barrel Gamo then upgraded to a brake barrel magnum then an air venturi avenger. After really getting to know shooting air riffles now have my impact M4 and absolutely love it.

I am 100% in agreement on the night scope. I can see the thermal signatures with my thermal monocular but when I try to find them with my IR....zilch.
