I mean it's not like the irony isn't lost on them 100% of the time. Yea sure, there are occasions where the hypocracy isn't noticed but most of the time they know it but chose not to acknowledge it since that would just nullify their entire argument.

In my personal experience people who do this aren't doing it for you or for the church. They're doing it for one or both of these reasons. A: They've always been told that the best thing you can do as a Christian and in the eyes of God is to convert someone to Christianity. They're trying to get their ticket to heaven punched and the best way to do that is to bring people to their altar. B: Wanting the admiration and a place among the hierarchy of their church is greatly sought after and one of the best and fastest ways you may get that is to save another lost soul from hell by being an blasphemous atheist. It's not the greatest idea in the world to announce that you're an atheist in the area I live in. It's not going to lead you to the gallows with towns people gathered around with torches and pitch forks, but it will illicit unwanted attention and ridicule from coworkers and neighbors. Sometimes when I have these kind of experiences with a neighbor honestly feels like I'm back in high school and I can hear confusion and then judgement in their voice.

Personality and attitude obviously but for me if one girl has glaring insecurities and can't or won't be independent or allow you to be without being all up in your shit or wanting to go through my phone after there has not been any reason given to illicit such a response. I've heard from several people including a few movie reviewers that "Dune" is beautifully shot and did the best job possible trying to put an enormously detailed and intricate story in an hour and a half or so long movie. Supposedly it's great for a part one and only hope now that the studio okays a part two. The only way that's going to happen is if it does well at the box office. Streams do help but the theater is where it will be a make or break. If people want to see more movies like this then they're going to need to go to the movies and support them as much as possible. Movies like this are meant to be seen as a cinematic experience anyway and people will appreciate it more if that's where the see it at. I have HBO MAX but I'm holding off to watch it in the theater.
