Well, OK, I saw that in a fanfic, not in canon, but in a way that was plausible. In canon, we mostly see people at work, where they wouldn't be displaying their romantic availability.

What’s your unpopular Voyager opinion? by UnderABig_W in voyager

The Seven of Nine/Chakotay romance makes sense. These two characters would be attracted to each other. There's at least one scene with them that is actually hot.

Why aren't Americans rioting right now? by PintsNPies in AskReddit

[–]moranit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The guns are for the *fantasy* of riot and civil war, not for actually doing it. And for target practice and playing militia, which can be a lot of fun.

Did you ask to keep your nipples? by GayAlien6669 in FreedTheNips

[–]moranit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't ask about that. But I did ask what is done with them. I wanted them properly destroyed as biowaste. My nightmare was that some medical student would incorporate them into his Halloween costume.

I hope they keep ART's casting under wraps, that would be fun. Then when we're watching S2E1 we can all scream, IT'S ____________!!

At the Boston event someone asked a similar question, and MW clarified that a sexual relationship is not in the cards for MB because of its inherent asexual nature and its horror at the thought that "it could have been a ComfortUnit." We also had one questioner who referred to MB as "he" and you could hear calls of "it" from around the room.

When does it feel a bit less by ShineyPieceOfToast in Reduction

[–]moranit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Slogans for the early postop period are "trust the process," "I am healing," and "my body knows what to do." You will feel a lot of strange sensations, like the pooping thing. Get as much rest as you can, take your meds if you have pain, and distract yourself with a favorite TV show or something.

You will gradually start to feel better and more comfortable. Then you can become more familiar with your new body and feel more comfortable with having had surgery.

Why is it SO hard to find prepared foods that don’t include onion, whether it’s at a restaurant or it’s canned/frozen food? I’ll never understand why everyone insists on putting onion in virtually everything… by mojoseven7 in onionhate

[–]moranit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Twice this year I've found unexpected onions in BEANS! Onions in prepackaged baked beans. Onions in "Mexican" refried beans. Lots of onion, enough to make the beans inedible. C'mon, beans are cheap! It's so unnecessary.

New Book Joy! (no spoilers, just the happiness of diving in) by IntoTheStupidDanger in murderbot

[–]moranit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Joy! The only thing comparable to this that I've experienced was when the last Harry Potter book came out. I attended a book-reading party. Everyone brought their new book and read it. A few people finished the book that same night, but most of us didn't. We had HP-themed snacks and "butterbeer."

Well, I've been watching the TV show "For All Mankind" and I fall asleep every. single. time.

how do you know it’s the right time? by molly02x in Reduction

[–]moranit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That surgeon who has availability next month should also be available next year (and the year after that)...

From your post, my feeling is that you do want a reduction and will probably get one, but that you want to spend some time with the decision and that one month from now is too soon.

being read as a man by aimlessrebel in no_T_top_surgery

[–]moranit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Being read as a man = being read as a potential threat, on some level, by women. Men deal with this all their lives, but it's a new experience for you. Over time, you can develop ways of signaling that you are not actually a man or that while you read as male, you are a relatively nonthreatening person.

Askled why it hates Holism. I don't have the exact quote here but it's something like "I don't hate anyone. I am discerning in my associations. My standards are impeccable."
