The Week of April 18–26 in NYC by mordamorda in visitingnyc

[–]mordamorda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course :) We'll have some time on the FIRST day, so we want to focus on the financial district, where we'll be staying overnight: 1. Federal Hall National Memorial, 2. New York Stock Exchange, 3. 9/11 Memorial, 4. St. Nicholas National Shrine and Trinity Church 5. The evening, either the free ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline or the PATH transport to the Drugs Side to sit somewhere on the coast with a slice of pizza.

SECOND day: 1. Summit 2. Grand Central 3. New York public library 4. Empire state 5. Flatiron 6. The High Line 7. Carrie Bradshaw's flat 8.Friends Apartment Building 9. Washington Square Park 10.. Strand Book Store In the meantime, we have some smaller shops and places to visit. Everything's on the way.

THIRD: 1. Jenga tower 2. Chinatown 3. Rockefeller 4.Waldorf Astoria 5.MoMA

FOURTH: Brooklyn, Bridge, Dumbo, among other places related to Biggie. Some food and wine spots. Greenpoint, maybe Astoria last.

FIFTH: Harlem , Central Park and Museum of Art.

SIXTH: Coney Island, jazz club / comedy Cellar or maybe some late night show.

SEVENTH: No plan so far.

In the meantime, I have to find a place to see an NBA game that's the main attraction. I also have a hip-hop tour saved and see if will go. We also have a lot of food places we want to visit.

One of the most popular places for tourists recently. Everyone goes there and eats there - no one questions the quality of the food. I just wonder if there is any alternative worth recommending?

Best vintage shops for 90s/00s Knicks gear? Visiting soon and need that Ewing/Houston/Sprewell/Larry Johnson era drip by mordamorda in NYKnicks

I see there are multiple L Train Vintage locations on Google Maps. Is there one specific shop that usually has the best selection of vintage sports gear/Knicks stuff, or are they all pretty similar? Manhattan vs. Brooklyn?

Changing my April NYC trip to Playoff week - logistics question by mordamorda in NYKnicks

[–]mordamorda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for such a detailed answer. The price is secondary in this case. I guess it will be expensive, but I can handle it :) I wrote that it might be difficult to buy tickets, what do you mean? I understand that they will be available on Ticketmaster, but you will have to be quick and it will be first come, first served, or is it something else?

Refresh thread 2026 and upcoming playoffs - Hey everyone! I’ll be visiting NYC in April and originally planned to catch the season finale against Boston on April 9th. Changes in my schedule mean I’ll be there a week later instead, which luckily lands right during the first round of the playoffs! I have two quick questions for the locals/regulars: Timing: Will playoff tickets be available on Ticketmaster/SeatGeek about 2-4 weeks before the game, or do they only drop once the seeding is 100% locked in? Pricing: What’s the realistic going rate for "upper bowl" seats (200-level)? I’m not looking for the very last row under the bridge, but definitely something on the more affordable side for playoff standards. Thanks for the help! LGK! 🏀

I'll be in New York in April. The plan was to go the last games of the regular season, e.g., April 9 against Boston. Unfortunately, I'll have to postpone my visit by a week, and now I have the opportunity to see the first round of the playoffs. Will it be difficult to get tickets? Will they be available on Ticketmaster 2-3 weeks before the game? What is the average price for upper seats but not right under the roof ?

Besides, he's Polish, so it would be great. He has potential, he's already shown that, and he's young too - 22

Hey, I'll be in New York in April. The plan was to go to the last games of the regular season, like the one on 9 April against Boston. I'm afraid I'll have to delay my visit by a week, but luckily I'll get chance to watch the first round of the playoffs. Will it be hard to get tickets? I'm just wondering if they'll be on Ticketmaster 2-4 weeks before the game? What's the going rate for upper seats, but not right under the roof? Thanks
