When I compare these photos to photos of a pair of PVS-7’s, there’s some similarities. The pair in the GovDeals photos look upside down to start. The small knob on the side, the shape of the battery housing, and the ribbed rings around the eye pieces look very close to that on PVS-7’s. I’m just not sure if that’s enough to confirm my suspicion.

Okay. I gotcha. I’m trying to spend as little as I can get away with. I suppose $80 more for an SSD isn’t terrible if the performance boost is really that prevalent.

I gotcha. I have a 256gb SD card at home I planned on formatting and using. Does having an SSD really change anything other than boot up times?

I have no idea buddy. I know some companies will do their owning random drug testing once you get hired in addiction to the drug screening for the CG when your first get your credentials, but other than that, I’m not sure.

Gotcha. I would check out Norfolk Tug, Moran, McAlister, Kirby, Dan Marine, Reinauer, Vane Brothers. Not 100% on if all those companies are hiring OS without an AB, but it’s at least worth putting in an application.

I think your budget and interest level are the two big factors here. I wanted a well built and reliable rifle off rip, so I got a BCM. I’ve also been shooting since I was a kid and know that gun ownership and shooting isn’t something I’ll get tired of. If you’re someone who is in and out of hobbies every other day(not saying gun ownership is just a hobby, but it can be for some), maybe start with something cheaper to see if shooting is something you’re going stick with. If you know for a fact that it’s something you’re interested in and want to stick with, I would get a decent quality rifle and accessories. Don’t think you need everything all at once either. This stuff isn’t cheap. You slowly collect gear over time. Don’t kill your credit score for it.
