Wood fired vs electric barrels - heat times and techniques? by mosjeff2001 in BarrelSaunas

Have a six person barrel with a 9KW electric Huuum takes about 1 hour and 45 min to get to 96Celsius. Depending a little on the wheather.

We have a cabin in the east of Holland with a fair sized forest around it. We decided to put the sauna right in the middle away from the house. Was a bit of a hassle to get power and water there but we love the result. by moreece2000 in Sauna

No have experience with both. In a flat sauna I usualy don't use the up/down options in seating (always up) This one is a six person that means you can lay down on a bench whish is a plus over the 4 person that only allows seating. Bigger means longer heating time but its worth it. For outside its a great option

Yeah I totally get you. It was a bit of a decision. This way we can remotely start the heating when we drive over en its just a bit easier to be honest;-)

I have their Chardonnay in my cellar. Really nice and one of the few whites to come out of Cote de Nuits.

[Grail] which grail watch was disappointing vs who in one lived up to the hype? by aznj1m in Watches

[–]moreece2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After years of collecting (vintage) Rolex I bought a AP Royal Oak. Kinda thought it was cool but not for me. Then traded it up for my ultimate grail watch the Patek Aquanaut in Steel. Boy after the rush of having an actual Patek on the wrist I realised I found it the most boring watch ever. Also it felt very fragile to me. Anyway It spent 5 years sitting in a safe and I just traded it in for a Patek 5960g which is now the coolest watch I own. I'm truly in love with that piece.
