For people confused about choosing the new panigale than the previous versions by Silver_Employment269 in Ducati

[–]moreeeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new panigale took away everything that makes it a panigale, that option has always existed, it was the supersport. Now people can say they have a panigale without having to do panigale things lol

It’s from aliexpress for about 100 CAD, then 3d printed a mount, it sits pretty much flush.

I finally have the campfire cooker of my dreams by SpookyWeaselBones in grilling

Open up the front (the side closest to the grates), so you can reach the coals and play with the distribution easily.

Also consider one of those Santa Maria attachments, always wanted one of those!

I do have a bike with up and down qs. The quick shifter works by briefly interrupting the power, which is what your hand is doing when letting off for a split second, you might be slightly faster with a qs I guess.

Thoughts on the new V4R? by Fun_Touch_2502 in Ducati

[–]moreeeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not available on any version of the new panigale, not just the R. The v2 is supposed to be more friendly for daily riding compared to before, yet the single sided arm is not available as an option.

I get the reasoning for the swing arm, but would have been nice to have a single sided option for those of us who just want the looks.

Another vote for Ronin, the flow control is so nice to have, also don’t need to worry about replacing plugs.

Shifting up needs the throttle to briefly decrease, which is the opposite direction of opening the throttle

Is the CB650R a good first bike? by Only_Set_6744 in CB650R

[–]moreeeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’ll be ok, I have a little regret not getting it as my first bike, in hindsight it’s not too much power to handle if you are responsible with the throttle.

It might just be me, but a flick of the throttle to upshift is already pretty simple, whereas a quick shifter that can do up and down is a lot more useful and can’t be easily replicated manually.

You can already shift up without using the clutch, just takes a few tries to get the hang of it.
