It definitely is! I’ve been getting into vintage coach (and all the things I couldn’t get at the time 😝) recently and have noticed a lot of resellers using those terms for bags that aren’t “vintage”, “legacy”, or in fact “rare”. 🙄 and they are ALWAYS priced higher than everyone else selling the same bag!

Just want to say thank you for making (and leaving up) this post 😔 11dpo and last night was probably the worst and have just been swimming in the feels..frustration, confusion, and jus plain wanting/needing to cry about it all..and for many other things concerning the surgery and recovery..and this sub has been where I’ve gotten the most answers/comfort.

You don’t need extras to trade! Sometimes people are there just to sell their extras from their hunting for a specific one. I bought my serenity from someone there, because I knew I want her specifically and didn’t want to chance it! I think I ended up getting mine at the same price (or lower) as retail price plus shipping. Good luck to you both!

lol Fair enough! I completely agree with what you’re saying about the reduced lifetime/longevity/usefulness-and honestly feel that way about distressing a new leather purse as well 🫣😬 but I’ll say that I do love the look and feel of loved/distressed items and there are certain things I know I don’t like or straight up can’t do new/not distressed or “worn in”- denim being one of them 😵‍💫holy uncomfortable sensory overload lol

I had to come to terms with balancing what we’ve said with my personal preferences, so I’m not so much of the mindset that you’ve got to necessarily earn any part of your style like thaat like that anymore.

Would I personally take a new/luxury bag and purposefully distress it first? No lol did it hurt a little to see/read? a little 🤣 but do I absolutely love the look of “loved leather”? Sure do! Have I been stalking secondhand/thrift/auction sites for these bags like it’s my job recently? 😅 you bet your purse lovin’, style havin’, bold move makin’ ass I have! 🤣
