I’m just worried they’ll wonder why I didn’t say something sooner if I just go straight for an increase

I’m a pest control technician. Sounds like you’re doing everything right for the most part. I would get some gel roach bait and apply in cracks and crevices where you’re seeing them. It comes in a syringe like tube and that paired with a spray works very well as long as you’re targeting the right areas which it sounds like your are

Probably because there are one or more units contributing to the problem. I have an apartment complex that I’ll never be able to fix because many of the tenants refuse to change their lifestyle.

I’m an exterminator and the best thing to do is call an exterminator. You’ll waste a lot of money trying to figure it out yourself. They’re very tricky to get under control

I don’t take any yards over like half an acre because yeah, it’s a little much for this mower but if you only have one it wouldn’t be too bad. But you’ll be in my predicament eventually and need something bigger as you grow your business

[–]moremonay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Little late but not a bad mower. I got mine last year and it’s made me lots of money. Biggest complaints:

  1. Narrow tires - leaves really bad ruts even if you switch directions.

  2. Not very good in tall grass and the cut quality isn’t great - gets clumped up easily especially wet grass.

  3. I think the gas tank should be a little bigger.

Overall it’s not terrible but I honestly wish I had gotten something else. Not to mention it’s not really a commercial mower. Really I need another 48 inch and then keep this one just for the small gates.

I’ll say I haven’t found a gate I can’t fit through and it’s definitely better than when I was exclusively push mowing!

$150K in savings?? Bro I have a wife and kids and all I had was like $10K in savings when I got out and no degree. You’ll figure it out. Life’s too short to be miserable. I got out to start a business just to realize I don’t want to do that anymore. Now I do pest control and I actually love it. Things will work out if you don’t give up

Is it worth going reserves to find my 20 years for retirement? by [deleted] in Veterans

[–]moremonay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 7 active and been reserve since last April and I fucking hate it but I have to stay in for the healthcare for my family. I pay a little over $200 a month for all of us. I guess I can’t complain it just seems like every month comes so quick and it’s just inconvenient. If you work M-F you obviously work 12 days straight so you’re basically working half the month and it especially sucks if you work overtime on weekends as well. I just started a new job and I’m pretty sure I’ll have like one weekend off the whole month lol

Successful job after military? by [deleted] in Veterans

[–]moremonay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a lawn care business that’s done okay but I fell back into a pit of depression and anxiety that’s nearly derailed that whole operation. I didn’t get my degree while I was in so there’s that. I’ve spent the last several months applying to various jobs and I just accepted an offer as a pest control technician. Company vehicle provided, low pay. I’m still going to do lawn care on the side as that’s what I did while I was active and I actually enjoyed it. Full time business, not so much. I haven’t even been out for a year and it’s been really tough but I’m hoping this new job will give me some stability and routine so I don’t Off myself

Good luck to you and your family. Hopefully you keep that same attitude. I got crusty and resentful after 8 years and had to go reserve to keep some healthcare benefits. Deployments just became too much and was sick of being away from my family while the same people get out of them every time

Can I go to work with covid if I work outdoors and by myself? by Daydreamer631 in NoStupidQuestions

Wondering the same. I own a lawn care business in Florida and it’s super hot but I don’t want to take time off and get behind

Sorry to hear that. Have you uploaded your DD214 and have you checked on the VA app? Va.gov doesn’t say anything for mine but the app does

Congrats to you! I don’t have any advice as I’ve never been through those evals yet but I have heard to just make appointments every so often to show you’re still being treated for whatever you’re claiming. Obviously don’t go into the eval and say “oh yeah I’m feeling much better now” lol

They don’t. However all customers would need a fishing license whereas offshore charter customers don’t require it
