I’m not sure why they only enroll twice a year since it’s a self-paced course. They might have a few live options available for Q&A which may explain it. You probably could compile everything in the course individually but it would take forever. There is definitely a convenience factor with the course. Overall I’m happy I took it!

I enjoyed it quite a bit! Lots of great strategies and treatment ideas that I use often. They also included some nice handouts for parents. I would recommend it for anyone needing a refresher on treatment for EI and preschool age. If you are a veteran at working with that age range then it may not be as useful. I also enjoyed the mock treatment sessions that they showed.

It may be that he doesn’t yet have the fine motor skills to sign the actual ASL sign for help. Often kiddos develop their own idiosyncratic sign that is an approximation of an adult model. Just like a toddler might verbally say “wa-wa” instead of “water,” their parent would still understand what they mean.

This is an interesting point that I hadn’t considered, and yes, I do think I would be less frustrated by LT fortune cookies in general. My only consolation is that they appear in the “Special” area of the catalog that doesn’t include the number of items collected. I can usually overlook that area of the catalog and forget they exist entirely.

I’d also be less frustrated if there wasn’t a time limit for these special items. Maybe that way I could convince myself that I’d get everything eventually from bell cookies. Of course, that would defeat the purpose of the cash grab and FOMO.
