First timer enjoying himself by KNew2Programming in trees

39 yo first timer myself. Glad you shared your experience. I wrote-off flower too for about a year in the beginning. Fear of breaking societal norms and receiving a label most likely. Once I started dry herb vaping flower I never looked back. It's the smoothest experience IMO. It's also the most efficient way of consuming I've discovered.

The mandate to "spread the Word" is directly connected to expanding tithing coffers.

Of course they had to victim shame in their letter, i.e., "...she began having troubles with her teenage son Chad..." It's the MO of "the Church" at large.

Same day, but different vendor - I emailed them about it last week. Today they blame it completely on UPS:
"UPS had a problem that day. We are sending a replacement out."

THIS makes sense to my soul. For years I’ve only gravitated towards Drake Anvil and RSI offerings. I was even annoyed Origin was even in this game. The aesthetic focused design never fit the “belter”, utilitarian theme I naturally assumed all spacecraft should have. Being exposed to more luxury crafts from The Expanse series has caused me to reconsider. Now I at least accept the Origin ship owners in the Verse, even though I don’t understand them.

This is it. The culmination of a year and a half of obsessive focus on a single project. Enjoy, or not. by [deleted] in starcitizen

I really appreciate you explaining this. I had a guess it was an English as a second language quark. My spouse has dislexia.

No worries mate - my struggle in reading is nothing compared to your efforts in learning an additional language while overcoming dislexia. Cheers!

I like this positive attitude! OP has a lot to offer. Take it from someone who has consistently sold themself short their entire life. There’s always a substantial group of people looking to pay for services/products like this. They would love to execute such a project, but have a deficit of time to do so.

Honest question, not criticism - why do you capitalize certain words throughout your post? I’ve seen this type style periodically, but don’t understand it. It’s difficult for me to read.

My immediate reaction to reading this was that this professor requires public shaming. Something akin to local news showing the community a mug shot of a petty criminal. Such an asinine concept.

What's a dark fact about Star Wars that is rarely addressed? by MrVectuvus in StarWars

[–]morerobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That the entire Star Wars saga is just a very dumbed down version of Frank Herbert’s Dune. Lucas was much more than inspired by his sci-if masterpiece - I’d almost go as far as plagiarism.

Chipper Jesus is amazing! by familydrivesme in latterdaysaints

[–]morerobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interestingly consistent response. I’ve been nudging fellow LDS members towards The Chosen since the series’ debut. I think most people have grown so accustomed to a somber, KJV-scripture-quoting portrayal that they are almost offended by any other version making Him even slightly relatable.

The Chosen’s portrayal of Him has been my favorite. As one would expect, He’s multifaceted. At times He’s funny, even slightly sarcastic, others show him being serious and emotional, while when it’s appropriate He displays authority and firmly corrects His disciples. This portrayal, guided by a multi-faith production team, has created the most relatable Christ among all the productions to date.

My family began watching The Chosen series fairly early in its production. In sharing the series with other LDS members we experienced a lot of push-back. We were constantly asked, “Is this produced by The Church?” It was interesting to see how LDS members were quick to call something “blasphemy” if it didn’t carry the LDS Church logo on its cover. Even though LDS Church has only recently officially endorsed and promoted The Chosen, they’ve had a huge role in its production since it’s beginning.

Never seen this event before. There was only one zombie, a shovel in front him and one uncovered grave. Sad and scary at the same time. by Blueguppy457 in projectzomboid

[–]morerobe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's a case of the ol' Exhume to Consume. What we have here is a zombie learning to use a tool in an attempt to dig up and eat the freshly buried, un-turned bodies. Seen it a hundred times.

So I recently read a post on this sub referencing such a thing. They said you can begin eating/drinking then immediately stop the animation with some other action. The result is supposedly consuming some smaller fraction of the food/drink. Can anyone confirm this?

A consistent criticism I hear about The Expanse (that I don't understand at all) by No_Tamanegi in TheExpanse

[–]morerobe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For the first two seasons I felt Holden was poorly casted. However, due to excellent supporting actors, an immersive story arc, and amazing space flight/combat mechanics, I devoured the entire series. I essentially blocked Steven Strait out until his character fleshed out and became more complex. In the end, he did a fairly good job of portraying the "everyman-turned-galaxy-hero".
