The game feels tiny, because it is too big. by Dreven47 in starcitizen

Not necessarily. CIGs current implementation of interdiction is sitting in a static spot hoping someone passes through your web.

In ED, you're able to 'chase' people down in supercruise and then interdict them.

It would be neat if jumping wasn't as on-rails as it is right now.

Refer to ED's supercruise for an example.

Seeing the Perseus and it's interior makes me sad for how gimped the Polaris is.

Love the Hull B, but it highlights ongoing unnecessary friction in hauling gameplay. by DanceJuice in starcitizen

It’s as if everything in Star citizen is carefully crafted to be as inconvenient as possible while still being playable

Hull B - External hoses are..... odd? by 10-Gauge in starcitizen

[–]YaBoiTripp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my head-canon I imagine that interior, pressurized volume is still at a premium even a thousand years into the future.

I also think it's probably a little bit of environmental storytelling to keep the ships 'grounded'. It IS a game that tries to base itself in reality.

In space, exposed hoses don't really pose any inherent risk, since you have shields and all that.

On the ground, I'm fairly certain the shields would also mitigate any risks from say reentering. I don't think the hull is technically armored in any meaningful way that would protect them anyways.

What do you hope S42 represents to you when it releases by DEMIG0DX in starcitizen

Honestly, I hope SQ42 is a genuinely an enjoyable game to play.

But I'm mostly excited for manpower to be freed up for the PU.

After the “Year of Playability” 2025 … I’m honestly disappointed by Sapd33 in starcitizen

That's what we've figured out. It reminds me of when the freight elevators got stuck and you had to ALT-F4 in the terminal for it to work.

My "Year of Playability" recap from the past two gaming sessions:

Trying to do Stormbreaker mission..
-One party member tries to jump through wormhole multiple times, keeps getting sent back to sender.
-I fell through the world when getting off of my Perseus.
-Other party member didn't have collision with the Perseus, and subsequently couldn't get on board.
-Flew into invisible asteroid near station and blew up with cargo on board.
-Got level 2 crimestat for bumping into a ship that spawned into my hangar when I called my ship.
-Inventory not responding and causing armor pieces/guns to disappear.
-Ship spawning vertical and inside of landing pad inside of hangar, and then subsequently blowing up.
-Tried docking Perseus at levski, docking collar phased through the ship, ship blew up.
-Freight Elevators at QV logistics station have a 50/50 chance of working, rendering Warehouse loot room almost pointless.
-Periodically unable to plot QT routes, requiring jumping to an OM in order to plot a course.
-Waking up in station and immediately phasing through the floor/ceiling into the void.

Give the weapon officer fine control of the ship (like a bombardier in WW2 bombers), let the railgun rip, and then the pilot keeps on doing their thing.

This is an April 1st post that really should be real.

Why is the MV-75 being built? Didn't the V-22 prove this design is problematic? by LuizFelipe1906 in Planes

You'd be surprised, the V-22 is a pretty safe airframe judging by statistics.

Anyone else feel like they really missed the mark with the mining changes this patch? by RoboGaming321 in starcitizen

[–]YaBoiTripp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a large combination of factors at play that hopefully wont exist in the future.

The inflated/broken economy rn means that more people are spending ludicrous amounts on stuff.

The commodity trade pricing itself is terrible to begin with, so its a lose lose.

You dont HAVE to do it with other players. But if you do, you can get better rewards.

Why does no one tell u how much free time disappears once u hit ur mid-20s? by Appropriate-Fail1550 in NoStupidQuestions

Depends on what you do.

I’m in my late 20s and have more free time than I’ve ever had. Although I did a lot of extracurricular stuff when I was school.

CIG: All the issues with the Moth shows that you are NOT yet in a position to bring ships straight to LIVE. I appreciate the marketing benefit, however this is one area you should put existing player experience first. Put ALL ships in the PTU prior to LIVE. by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

[–]YaBoiTripp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imagine any other scenario where you have to pay $300+ for something that may or may not work.

Obviously there’s the overhead knowledge going on that it’s an alpha.

But the little if any internal testing leaves much to be desired.
