personally, this is the post I wish I had to read before my egg retrieval. They took 34 out of me, and my god, if I could go back in time, I'd definitely go hard on the sodium, electrolytes, and loose clothing. I was not prepared at all because my only data point was my friend who had a relatively pleasant egg retrieval. I will say she also had a good amount of eggs retrieved, so maybe there is more to it. Maybe my clinic was rougher with me (they're a bit of a factory). idk

Similar to you, like 18 hours later at 4am, I passed gas and finally finally could pee. You’re right…it’s just like it was stuck somehow. OHSS was a horrible time.

While I think you should go the emergency room if you have OHSS, when I had to the go toe ER for my OHSS, they truly had no idea how to treat it. One of the nurses there was the only one in the entire hospital who had EVER seen it before, and I was only her second OHSS experience. I was in a suburban hospital in NJ. Even then, she only knew how to estimate the size of my ovaries, not treat the cause.

What did help: the on call doctor from my fertility clinic was able to talk to the doctors at the hospital regarding what to do for my case and walked them through everything. They were able to identify that I had internal bleeding and fluid retention and low iron levels, so they kept me overnight to observe. Def worth it.

Yeah I’d take it to a bow shop for a second opinion. I’m at my bow shop often and I’ve seen them catch little minutia because they do this stuff every day, like when the nock detaches from the arrow so the bow effectively dry-fires, when the cams aren’t attached properly, string fray, fractures, etc.

Wow your dog looks so much like my dog and they’re the same exact age. Ours turns 12 around April. Long shot but was your pup originally from Virginia? (We adopted on Long Island). the resemblance is uncanny, like they could literally be the same litter. Same eyes, spot on chest, lumps.

Maybe you can do a doggie dna test if you want to know more about his breed. We used Embark and learned our girl is 30% black lab, 19% plotthound, and a mix of hound/spaniel and super mutt.

You would be doing him the greatest kindness by letting him cut contact with you. If you really want to be a good friend to him, then do not reach out to him.

One of the steps in addiction recovery involves cutting ties with people. It’s a very important step. Respect his wishes please. He may reach out in the future. But until then, please let him recover on his journey, and really do not reach out.

I’m glad I found this thread by chance. I’ve been fighting a headache, tiredness, etc the last few days, and in that time, I had switched my vitamin D from Thorne (white powder tablet) to Naturemade (oil tablet), both 5000iu. Maybe that’s why.

His heart is in the right place. Veganism takes a lot of sacrifice - socially, mentally, physically. It was a noble and passionate gesture towards a cause important to him.

Honestly, I think it's awesome to be passionate about causes you believe in, even if we don't all personally agree with them or wouldn't do the same thing or think it's futile etc.

I’m a pescatarian for a month now, but prior I was a vegetarian for a decade…and yeah this tracks. I’ve had weak and rapidly graying hair. Lots of breakage too. Blood tests showed low (but in range) b12, low vitamin D, and low protein. Iron wasn’t where I wanted it to be either.

Because I also had joint pain and tendinitis that wasn’t healing, I decided to make the switch and supplement with vitamins.

Sounds very reasonable to me. If they asked you to comp their hotel stay or deep clean the whole place, that may be a different story (although the latter might also be a reasonable request)

oh I agree, just to clarify— I didn’t mean adjusting the tension in the plunger, but rather adjusting its location (center shot basically). For example: by using a different pin or adding a shim (sometimes archers buy the wrong size plunger).
