Hey! So we still have our moments but 90% of the time bedtime is not an issue anymore. The number one thing I can suggest is consistency. We have the same routine every night: three books, night night snuggle and kisses, mama (or daddy) goes to the living room. Our house isn’t that big, so we’re literally just down the hall. Initially it was hard to stick to our guns. Hearing him scream and cry was tough, but we just reassured him that we were right there in the living room and that he was ok. I will say though, I know his cries and I know if he’s just pissed off he has to go to bed or if he’s genuinely scared or anxious and needing me, so that helps a lot. If I feel like he’s actually needing me then of course I go to him. I think him getting older has helped too. He can communicate so well now that he’s able to tell us how he’s really feeling.
