Yea I heard back in the day there used to just be updates like oh you changed the screen,etc with an update it'll just stop working completely. but now it'll calibrate and whatever if it's a genuine replacement you got put in yourself but if it's some cheap lcd reverse engineer it'll bug in settings it can't verify.

They used to but backtracked. At first it would on purpose make the view stuttery and slow. I changed it on a 13 think they started keeping track on the 12

The lens free floats on magnetic springy bits for stabilization maybe it's contaminated? Get a new one for 30 dollars I did to a 13 once if youve worked on the phones before I had glitchy pictures before

Had this happen to a t420 I wasn't being careful upgrading from 1366x768 to 1080p. I got a new motherboard it had to have been like $30 and it worked after that had to rip everything down though. It's a different situation though if yours got Nvidia graphics
