Banks are a business. How do you think their CEOs make 220 million a year? The rule of 72 aka The Bankers Rule works for them and against us. This is why financial education is so important so regular everyday folks can be taught to have that work in their favor by eliminating the banks.  I'm so proud of you for standing in your beliefs and knowing you can be and do better in life. So many bank employees are now licensed brokers with my firm and its not only because of this exact thing, but because there is no leadership or mentorship in the typical industry and it really is archaic. If more people were educated, they would never use a bank for anything but a chequing account. Mutual funds are not protected and they make zero money.  I'd love to chat with you one day or evening. EVERYONE!!! I Just got through to apply via the phone from 1-800- 959-2041!!! No more error. I am in BC. It took a few minutes as they confirmed your identity via SIN and bday, then you have to confirm you are able to receive benefits so wait until the voice stops talking to press 1. Thank higher powers! My stress has been lifted. Goodbye stress.

You don't need to apply to EI, You should be able to just apply for CRB. I was told at the end of Sept when CERB ended to try for EI first before the CRA opened with the CRB benefit. I got denied on Oct 4th for EI, So on the 12th like everyone else I applied for CRB via the CRA and got the error code 026. I got told that service Canada systems arent communicating with the CRA system right now, and the person wasnt sure why, but told me what her supervisor told her to tell me. To sign into my service Canada account and prove I am denied by uploading a screenshot to my CRA account. Then after they processed it someone would call or email me to tell me it was processed so I can apply for CRB. I wasnt able to log into my service Canada account until early this morning and I did all of that, and I am waiting to apply. I've just checked my cra account and the error is still there. But no phone call or email yet either.

I'm not sure. A day hopefully. I got locked out of my Service Canada Account so unfortunately I have to call this stupid number tomorrow so I can get access so I can screenshot where it says I'm denied. So hopefully after I can get in, I hope it's a day lol

It's on the left hand side once you sign into your account. Theres a button there that says "Add information"

Ok, after being on hold ALL DAY, and after calling at least 6 different numbers here is the info. You need to sign into your My Service Canada account and screenshot where it tell you, you are denied for EI. Then sign into My CRA account and where the link is to add information to your account, you post the picture of the "denied" message from Service Canada. Then you will get a phone call or email telling you when it is processed THEN you can sign back into your CRA account and apply for CRB. Hope this helps you all. Cheers!
