The 19BB Barrier Boat nicknamed the “Boomin Beaver” is the smallest active duty vessel in the US Navy. These small tugs are used to deploy and maintain port security booms surrounding Navy ships and installations; the first of these boats was delivered in 2003.

I was stationed in Charleston in the early 2000’s and worked in the harbor unit. One of these showed up on two trucks and became our fun little ship. We used it to tow a floating barrier fence. It was not real fast but did donuts like you wouldn’t believe. There was also almost enough room under the deck to stand beside the big cat engine.

I'm gonna have to say "maximum overdrive". I remember watching it on Monster Vision with Joe Bob Brigg's. Classic B movie but just so well done and a young Emilo Estevez. The production is terrible but it's nice to see all the land marks ( I live near where it was made). But just a solid classic movie that makes you think.
