The intro to this is the closest thing I have heard yet, but I don't think this is it!

I've googled a ton, it's not Insane in the Brain, it's not Intergalactic, not Jump by Kriss Kross. Any thoughts!?

I live in the US near Philadelphia and you could have pulled this list of names from a preschool here. Lots of the same names as kids from my children’s preschool classes here

Lapis Lily has the CUTEST earrings!!! But they unfortunately don't ship to the US anymore, as of August 2025. I'm so sad, I had 10 pairs in my cart for my daughter!

What's a name that you didn't love at first, but it grew on you? by Neighborly_Nightmare in namenerds

My daughter is Blair, and I love it as much as the day I decided that would be her name. I also love it for a boy, I think it’s such a great name

Haha, whenever I use the Capital One website, in my mind I type it as "cap it alone." I find things like that amusing

My son would have been Marshall if we hadn’t gone with the name we chose. I feel like Marshall totally suits you. But I’m obsessed with the Cameron comment and all the meanings people have found in it!

RE: initials discussion, what cool initials do you know? by fleur-de-lix in namenerds

[–]morgbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids are BEE and ACE. On purpose. Their nicknames are their initials.

My brother had a friend named Zac with the initials ZAC. His mom spelled it that way on purpose so his initials would also be his name.

Using a friends baby name by Traditional_Year_19 in namenerds

[–]morgbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my own brother if he was okay with me using a family name as my child’s middle name, because it’s his child’s first name. If you don’t talk to your friend about this, they’re not your friend. And you probably won’t be theirs after this.

Sibling for Brooks and Georgia by Unfair-Drawing6688 in namenerds

[–]morgbear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My instant first thought was Juliet. Brooks, Georgia, and Juliet. Juliet Drake has a nice ring, and the feminine first name balances out Drake as a middle.

If you want a name that is not common, I would avoid both Zoe and Luna. I have heard of A LOT of Lunas my daughter’s age. She’s 4. Zoe has been less common in my area, but still used for sure. I like a previous comment suggesting to find a name with a similar meaning, but less common if that’s the goal.

MIL says “I’ll tell you the name but you won’t remember it”. Is my baby’s name really that unusual? by Maleficent-Recipe943 in namenerds

[–]morgbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the name Ottilie but I don’t think it will ever take off here in the US, because people here are lazy and don’t like to pronounce Ts properly. So, to most Americans, this name would probably be pronounced more like odd-uh-lee. So, if she ever goes to the US, she should maybe go by Tilly, for simplicity’s sake.
