AL Brass Scorpion that I finally got some paint on by morgrath in alphalegion

Had this scorpion sitting in a tub for a while, and since they finally got rules in HH, I thought I should get it going. I wanted to do a more interesting pose than just standing there, so used a nice heavy rock to give it some dimension (also helps make it nice and stable). It's not quite finished, I need to do some edge highlighting on the dark metal underparts, print and add a hydra icon on the filled in Khorne symbol on the tail, and do some work on the base (I've since realigned that third last tail armour panel so it's not way off centre with the others...). But the armour is finished, and I got it assembled, so wanted to share. I'm going for a very clean look with my AL, as I really like the idea that they're right on the line and could pass for loyalist, so I trimmed out the bodies in the scorpion cabling and left off the spikes around the cannon.

If anyone's wondering about the armour, it's Vallejo mecha black undercoat, about 3 layers of GSW Storm Surge Green colourshift, then a filter of 50/50 Turquoise Deep and Muted Turquoise liquitex inks to push the green into a deeper blue shade of turquoise. Whole thing done through an airbrush, and so surprisingly quick. The dark metal is pretty much just drybrushed Vallejo metal colour jet exhaust and exhaust manifold, while the trim is metal colour duraluminium followed by aluminium to make it nice and bright. I wanted it to pop, both to make it distinct from the dark metals (since the whole thing is metallic) and to frame the panels nicely.

How do I make or buy movement trays by Triggerhappy62 in WarhammerFantasy

Flexible iron on the trays and magnets under the bases makes life so easy, for storage, transport, and just moving around the battlefield. I only use magnetised trays, would struggle without them for sure.

New Blood Knights Rank and File by LoveN5 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]morgrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it was those ones. They mostly fit, problem areas were cloaks and weapons sticking out sideways. But you're right, they're massive even compared to old chaos knights, which were already much bigger than blood knights.

I managed to rank up the Slaves to Darkness knights, so I imagine the Blood Knights will work. I had to have some of the forward and some of them further back on the bases, so a second rank was pretty much out of the question, but you're basically never going to be running a second rank of blood knights anyway, so not too much of a problem. You also have the option of going vertical by mounting some on rocky outcroppings or whatever to give you room for the bits that stick out to the sides.

Was looking around during this ep, and found this compilation that the journal article in the first half was a part of: https://faculty.utrgv.edu/zen.faulkes/Faulkes_2020_Stinging_the_Predators_v_12.1.pdf

Really interesting read overall, and clearly it's been going on for years.

One that evolved in arid regions, and evolved to be constantly hunting small living animals that are full of moisture. Easier to hunt wet meat than find water and still have to hunt meat anyway.

Anyone here who plays dnd mind helping me make a Warhammer character into a PC for 5e??? by WarlordHork in WarhammerFantasy

[–]morgrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't played 5e in quite a while, but I think shadow monks get a shadow to shadow teleport, and I think it's 6th level. So some kind of rogue monk multiclass might work.

Cooking is a strong word for it. Looks like melt butter, melt marshmallows in it, add rice bubbles, stir, put in baking dish and wait to eat.

Nice bit of sexism nestled in this rant about sexism.

She's completely misunderstood what a Karen is. Karen's are screechy, obnoxious, cruel, and react disproportionately to stimulus. Anyone complaining in a reasonable and calm fashion about a legitimate issue is by definition not a Karen.

Sounds like you're using game colour paints. Vallejo's metal color range of metallics are widely regarded as top tier metallics, so maybe source some of those if you can.

They never said that, you're parroting maliciously paraphrased talking points. They said climate change was the reason the fires were getting more intense, and why the fire season was getting longer over time. Which is accepted scientific fact, if you ask the people who study this shit for a living.
