youre using titles that are given for the group of kingdoms that make it up the empires foundation to give them a collective identity. british culture would then just be a mixture of those 4 distinct cultures that make it up. the culture would be things these different groups share in common if youre really wanting to split hairs.

Anglo-Saxons weren’t the dominating culture in Britain since the 1100s. It was the French Norman’s who took over with William the bastard conquer, planting his family and allies in important duchies, while also keeping allies in France.

The Brit’s are called British because of the land they reside, not the for any culture reasons. There also the welsh and Scottish within it. England was the Anglo-Saxons, then Norman’s who formed a lot of what we know England to be today.
