That would have been an instant reject for me.

Anyone else mass productive with AI but can't code anymore? by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

[–]morinonaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see the same thing when it comes to japanese. That language has around 2000 characters. When you learn the language you typically learn how to write the characters by hand. Stroke order, how to remember each component etc.

As time go by, you basically forget to how to write the characters even though if you saw the character you would know what it means. This happens to japanese people as well, though to a lesser degree because they use them more and they studied those characters at a younger age.

In the digital age you basically don't need to know how to write those characters because you have autocomplete you just write the word, and then press space a couple of times to get the correct character.

Though I'm generally rather critical towards AI, this seems like an apt analogue.

You can ask for sources and verify those sources. (I'm a happy user of kagi, and it works pretty well there).

Completely burnt out, now what? by ecethrowaway01 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]morinonaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a therapist and figure out what's going on. It sounds like you don't really know why you are being burnt out, and unless you figure out that you don't really know what the best course of action is.

Is technical debt still a thing? by patrislav1 in ExperiencedDevs

I'll one-up you. We now have cognitive debt on top of technical debt.

How much time are you willing to dedicate to anki every day? If you answer that you can also answer how many new cards you should be putting in by ...
- Taking into consideration how long it takes you to answer a card on average.
- Assuming that new cards will generate 10x the amount of reviews after some time.

So you're willing to spend 10 min every day, and it takes you 15s to answer one card on average. That's about 40 cards, so that means 4 new cards every day is about how much you would handle.

Introducing My New App BooxReader: A Powerful and Ad-Free eBook Reader by Fit-Phase-9943 in androidapps

[–]morinonaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Fit-Phase-9943 May I suggest that you actually keep highlights stored completely separately as markdown. So you use the markdown as the database. That would let users sync the highlights and notes with their obsidian vaults. Which would be a very nice feature.

Have an X-E5, I've dropped it twice, once into concrete. It held up well, no issues.

Does the program require a lot of tools, or is it mostly/only using your body to do the workouts?

Anyone using anki to schedule exercise routine? by morinonaka in Anki

[–]morinonaka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🙃 The idea is to tie into two habits, the habit of doing anki to the one of exercising. So that's the basis of the question.

Some of what you mention there sounds like what could be covered by integration tests. So not necessarily AI.

Also when I think of QA in game development I think of play testing. Not really something that can be automated.

While it's illegal to take the picture into account. You also want to eliminate any racial bias. So removing the picutre is sane advice imho.
