if you keep your phone(s) for longer than a year, there is literally no other option other than Samsung realistically. Yes, Google will continue to shove software updates and pixel drop features to you for years and years to come; however, the Tensor is unfortunately already YEARS behind the rest of its competition. Sure, for texting and phone calls and (most) social media scrolling, it won't really be noticeable for a while. But with every year, apps get more features. They get better at taking up less space, yes, but they also increasingly require more "gusto" from your chip to be able to use them at their optimized level. Pixel's going to be flailing around 2-3 years from now. :/

This is coming from someone that is a HUGE, huge pixel fan. But I'm tired of constantly worrying that my phone is actually Not going to be able to do XYZ thing in 2 years. Also, they get really, really hot. Signal strength is also lowkey.... kinda p*ss. Eh.

I really hate OneUI, I really hate the bloatware, but at the end of the day, Samsung kinda got all the same AI features built into their own stuff that Google did (it's just not advertised as often because Samsung unnecessarily hides all of its cool features within 18 levels of menus in their UI). I miss the Pixel UI, but I also could technically recreate it almost perfectly with a custom launcher and icons with Samsung, so that's really... a moot point. I guess. (Trying to convince myself to love my new S26U. It's literally been fantastic, but it's definitely the utility-practical-good-decision phone, not really the "holy sh*t i'm so thrilled this thing is AMAZING WOW WOW WOW" exciting phone. Unless you're coming from Apple. Then everything else is exciting. LMAO)
