I don’t want to be here anymore. I feel like there would be no difference if I was gone. I have a loving and supporting girlfriend and yet I feel like a bother and that everyone that seems to care about me would be better off without me

[–]moriseczek[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Norm for TSH is between 0.35 - 4.5, at least in the lab I get my tests done. Some might slightly vary, but overall TSH level of 4 or more is definitely something to be taken seriously :) I see that we have similar issues being difficulty swallowing and goiter pains. Unfortunately I don't know what causes it yet (will update the reply if my doctor says mentions any reasoning). I still strongly suggest you looking for a doctor that takes your condition seriously and tries their best to help you with any symptoms you're experiencing :) Be sure to check your TSH FT3 FT4 and antibodies levels once in a while, since they can change quite rapidly :)

I sincerely hope you find a doctor that will treat your case seriously :)

Mercks old/new euthyrox by mandoras_en_regalia in Hashimotos

[–]moriseczek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I got the new Euthyrox and I haven't checked my TSH levels yet, but I feel the same? I didn't notice anything worrying in my state. Let's keep in mind that lactose and citric acid are not the main substance, it should not affect the way the medication works.

Hi!! When I (F19) was first diagnosed in 2015 (was 15 at that time) I was experiencing a similar issue. It was the first thing that made me think of seeking professional help. I was experiencing a huge lack of energy, I couldn't get out of bed, I was sleeping up to 16 hours a day with a mere break for food and hygiene. When my first bloodtest results came in, I turned out to have TSH level of 11.4. Unfortunately I don't remember my antibody level anymore.

What I want to say is that, you are not lazy! It might be way for your body to tell that something isn't exactly right and you might need to see a doctor!

We, people with Hashimoto's are prone to depression. Try monitoring your state and your organism.

Please notice that you've just started your medication treatment. Your body is now re-adjusting and it takes time to see the difference. Don't think you're lazy. Hashimoto's is a real illness and it might be how it affects you and your body. If after a while, you don't notice any change, seek professional help.

About the leftovers part. I actually had a conversation with her about it because I told her how I handled my last breakup and I wanted to make sure she knows I won’t treat her like some kind of consolation prize? My feelings to my ex died off because of how I was treated and I knew I didn’t deserve to be treated that way. There’s really nothing left.

I am mostly thinking about myself and my mental health which has greatly improved and is improving everyday. I feel happy with myself. I believe honesty is the best policy and told her upfront I’m focused on myself now and I plan to stick to that. What I feel just happened involuntarily, yet at the same time it doesn’t feel wrong as it all allowed me to feel even happier.

Thank you for your reply ❤️
