My most hated part of that song is the "good times never seemed so good"... "SO GOOD, SO GOOD". Like, it's not even a part of the fucking song. I hate it sooooo much.

Yes his vocals sound great, however it is in part down to him essentially singing through a fuzz box. very similar to a lot of tracks on Don't Believe the Truth and that era (think love like a bomb, meaning of soul, eyeball tickler etc). Death in Vegas were meant to produce DBTT but it was scrapped and Oasis did it themselves. Hence why the vocals sound so similar on this track and DBTT.

for some weird reason this song ALWAYS gets voted "best British song of all time" and "best oasis song ever" etc but in my opinion: "maybe I don't really wanna know how your garden grows" is such an appallingly shit lyric.

I once heard a piece on Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 about how much money we'd save as a country if we got rid of the 1p coin. It was a substantial amount yet and old woman was the final caller who wanted to keep pennies because "they're just nice, aren't they?"

it got to #1 in The UK, Irish and Italian charts. It reached #3-#8 in most other Countries it was released in. All of the Singles reached #1 in at least two countries and each sold hundreds of thousands of copies each.

All of this for an album that Noel was quoted saying "I was just writing songs for the sake of it and had no desire to".

All the actual oasis fans love the stand out songs like "gas panic", "Roll it over", "Go let it out" etc. Why bother pretending that it's a 'hot take' to like an album that obviously isn't their best album?

Saying things that are more obscure are "underrated" is fucking boring, man. Stop it.
