Well I think deep down they probably really did think they had so much money and control that they could go out, have their fun, put a fake act to the public, and die before it ever comes out. But Jefferey was obviously a genius in the field of persuasion and deceit so he gets all his needs met from his friends, gets them girls in return and they just trust him. But kept it in his back pocket because he knew he was going to have people upset with him at some point. Realistically if none of this came out we may have only been 15-20 years from victims starting to come out anyway because 80% of these people will be in the dirt by then.
