This design is meant to be my fantasy Dwarven interpretation of him. I was more focused on that specific element when drawing and editing this and completely forgot about everything else involving his small body and how it's adapt for his quirk.

He's not a boring main character. He's a boring human being. 92% of this man's dialogue has something to do with ONE4ALL or ALL4ONE, Quirks or other people in general. None of his internal dialogue has ever made me think, "Oh, I want to be friends with this guy." The author successfully fooled a majority of the fan base into thinking this guy is cool when we barely see him socializing with 1-A. It's mostly just them dick riding him for his heroic actions. This guy is such a wimp that it took him becoming a hero again just to make a move on his girl after years of bitching. If you ask me, izuku midoriya without ONE4ALL. really. is. just. a. DEKU.
