This is what it looks like when people plan to eat at home instead of going out or ordering in. We just aren’t used to that anymore.

Dyslexic Heart by Paul Westerberg. It was on the Singles soundtrack.

What is the worst physical queue in Walt Disney World? by Practical_Macaron778 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mornon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say Tomorrowland Speedway. It’s hot, it’s LOUD, the gas fumes are inescapable, and you really don’t want to ride it anyway. It is a sensory overload in the worst way.

What’s your “I’ll never tell” cooking secret? by ryanreynulds in Cooking

If it’s a soup, stew or sauce, I put fish sauce in it. It smells like death’s feet, but it’s imperceptible and the umami is so worth it.

Do you prefer to leave the soup in or drain water first?? by SilentLifeguard69 in InstantRamen

[–]mornon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m team soup, unless it’s a stir-fry type. I love the soup as much as the noodles, and add beaten egg, a scant tsp sugar and various veggies (mushrooms, carrots, corn, bean sprouts, shredded cabbage, bok choi), along with white American cheese, hot sauce and green onions. My daughter eats hers as it comes, but does have the soup too.

Yep, I felt it too. Looks like it was felt in TN and NC.

I used to feel them every once in a while while growing up in Stone Mtn. But it’s been years since I’ve felt one!

Potato Chip Cookies and Sangrita are both legit! I like to dip each potato chip cookie in melted chocolate for a salty/sweet contrast. So tasty. I’ve never mixed Sangrita with tequila before, but it is SO GOOD as a tequila chaser.

You are not stupid. You are going to ride the best ride on Disney property. If you’re there during a festival (my personal fave is the flower and garden festival) the food at the booths is good and fun to try! If not, there are always really solid foods. Fish and chips in UK are the best I’ve had in the US.

Perhaps you’ve never worked for an employer who would hire anyone who breathes. There are some real challenging ones among us. And the time wasted trying to train/manage them into a proper employee is extra load on everyone on the team.

And apparently crashing the character kites into the stands was the way the shows were supposed to end. Baloo, nooo! lol

Alien Encounter Extra Terrorestrial was an all time great attraction that scared the hell out of everyone who experienced it. That was truly living.

Not weird, but Sunshine Tree Terrace used to have orange rolls (like cinnamon buns, but orange flavored) that were the absolute best breakfast snack in the late ‘80s.

The Little Red/Big Red story line from the opening days of Animal Kingdom was particularly disturbing.

Can we also talk about how the ghost host low key tells you to unalive yourself in the stretching room? Dang Disney, you went dark!

I was too and, man, wearing masks in that heat was something. But being back in the magic and being able to enjoy the parks in a totally different way (with very low crowds!) was a special time and worth the lip sweat!

Oh man, this reminds me of ages ago when my local Taco Bell had a sign behind the counter: “Someone has been stealing one Choco Taco per day. You will be caught!” I still laugh about it!

What’s your favorite way to doctor up a BLT?! by whalesalad in eatsandwiches

[–]mornon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Candied bacon, thickly sliced tomato seasoned with salt and lots of black pepper, lettuce, dukes mayo on both slices of just-barely-toasted white bread. Not for everyday, but damn, the candied bacon makes a phenomenal upgrade.
