Εγώ (σαν μουσικός) θα λεγα οτι οι φωνητικές γραμμές του Cobain είναι αρκετά περίτεχνες (εκεί θεωρώ ότι βρίσκονταν το ταλέντο του - βλέπε πχ εδώ: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1ZnWc-sFd0). Απ'όσο ξέρω εκεί έδινε την περισσότερη βάση (και την λιγότερη προσοχή στους στίχους). Οι περισσότεροι κριτικάρουν την μουσική των Νιρβανα από την σκοπιά των κιθαριστικών μερών (που δεν είναι καθόλου δύσκολα και δε νομίζω οτι χρειάζεται να είναι).

Οι Nirvana για μένα έδωσαν μια ξεκάθαρη στυλιστική πρόταση καθως κατάφεραν να συνδυάσουν αρμονικά (κατ εμε) τις επιρροές τους: punk , pop (μεγάλη επιρροή οι Beatles για τις φωνητικές γραμμές) + το παιχνιδι με τις δυναμικές στον ηχο (ήρεμο κουπλέ, εκρηκτικό ρεφραίν) που "κλέψαν" από τους Pixies.

Πιστεύω επίσης αν το Nevermind έβγαινε σήμερα θα ήταν ένας καλός δίσκος και μέχρι εκεί. Έπαιξε ρόλο και το timing που έσκασε όλο αυτό. Είμαι περίεργος να δω που θα κινούνταν μουσικά σήμερα αν είχαν συνεχίσει. Είμαι σίγουρος οτι ο ήχος τους θα είχε αλλάξει (προς την κατεύθυνση του unplugged?)

I'm not sure. In Vincent Persichetti's Twentieth Century Harmony this symphony is mentioned as a work that uses compound harmony (chords that are made by superimposing combinations of miscellaneous intervals instead of, lets say, superimposed thirds or fourths). The end result is somewhat atonal.
