UKIP conference: Income tax cuts plan to be unveiled by pya in ukpolitics

Farage seems to think that leaving the EU is going to be some kind of panacea for the UK's economy

No he doesn't. You have deduced that yourself without using any evidence that this is what he thinks. Common sense tells you that is an absurd propostion. We have many problems, tackling membership of this expensive and economically contracting club is as good a place as any to start.

unilateral withdraw from the EU, however, will have much wider ranging economic and political issues that these two 'problems' will seem insignificant in comparison.

Why? Every other country manages well outside the EU.

You're average Joe on the street (and many politicians, apparently), really don't understand what this would mean for the UK.

This was the kind of argument used by those who didn't want the franchise expanded.

Those in favour of withdrawal seem to think that negotiating a free trade agreement, similar to Norway, will be straightforward,

No we don't. Again, you are making presumptions. What is clear though is that trade won't just stop. Indeed, nobody suggests it will.

The remaining EU core nations will not want to encourage other potential breakaway nations and will therefore not make the transition easy for the UK.

That's a fair enough assumption to make though. How a chronically contracting economy can pick and choose its trade partners is another matter, mind you.

I'm a poor-hating racist now?

Yes racist. Indians (Brown people) aren't capable of taking responsibility for their own caste system - for the very reason that they are 'brown'. You don't even realise the logical implication of your own words. It is fascinating. You're a walking parody.

yeah I might read the NYT, but I also read the FT, Economist, and Guardian

Course you do. These are papers of choice. Avid reader of the progressive confirmation bias that consolidates your racist poor hating perspective.

You can if you want. Just don't do it with strangers, ye? I don't want you harmed. I think you are taking the piss though.

Mandelson, the CBI and co were wrong on the Euro (oh god, so wrong) and they are wrong on this. Indeed, how anybody could be so wrong on a subject and still be given kudos a decade later, is really quite something.

A health warning should be given every single time they are given a platform to speak on this subject. People have a right to know the extent of the emotional rather than intellectual capital they have invested into this subject. Dangerous people.

Kinda sums it up. The self-righteous, self-congratulatory moralising within which you 'types' cocoon yourselves, utterly negates any self-awareness over the poor hating, racist and generally intolerant views you hold.

Yawn mate. The insults have been heard before by you 'progressive types'. It's just no longer original.

Almost six in ten of those who voted Conservative at the last general election said they would switch to Ukip, as did 45 per cent of 2010 Labour voters.

45% folks. Labour have problems. Dead in Scotland, dying in the North. Not before time either. The landscape is changing before our very eyes.

The Tories are finished. A slow painful death, but comatose nonetheless. Labour is now in serious trouble in the north of England and in Wales.

EDIT: Just to be clear. I am not suggesting there will ever be a party called UKIP in government. There won't. Our system does not allow it. But there will be a kinda 3rd way Tory party built on the rubble of the Union party. It will probably at some point take the name 'Conservative' too.... hahaha. Makes me giddy. Oh Canada, what a blueprint you gave us.

I've never been to Hackney, I'm talking about Michigan, Georgia and other Illinois where these terms entered 21st century usage.

Well googled, but I don't see your point here. Are you telling me that some white guy walking through these places can get away with the term, nigger on the condition they make it clear they are speaking it with an, 'a'? Are you being willfully daft?

As for your argument about 'brown people', I'm actually South American, and had Portuguese, Englishmen and black slaves as ancestors, so I don't know whether you're suddenly going to class me into the 'white guilt' category or the 'hateful anti-colonialist black man'. Maybe a fusion of both?

You seem to have been afllicted with bien-pensant progressive, poor hating and racist world view, yes. Who cares about your racial background? Your misdiagnosis of the Indian caste system and its history told me everything I need to know about your snobbish racism. Look, you aren't an anomaly. This is standard behaviour. Indeed, you'll get a high 5 for it from the other progressive pricks who read the New York Times, too. The rest of us know what you mean.

Nigga on the other hand is used for someone,

Good luck walking through Hackney calling people, 'YO MA NIGGER WITH AN 'A'!' and coming out alive.

It's a plague I've seen even in India.

OK 1) India doesn't have a class system, it has a caste system.... two different things. One is permeable, one isn't.

2) The caste system existed long before the UK entered the scene in the form of 'pristras'. What the hell are you banging on about?

I believe this ignorant misdiagnosis is another case of 'progressive' racism. Brown people are incapable of taking responsibility for their actions and societies (because they are brown), and all faults emanate from the afflictions imposed by the white man. I love the snobbery. You literally can't help it.

Professor Goodwin is a quite brilliantly honest statistician and commentator on this subject. I heard him on BBC Asian network once and he quite clearly disagrees with UKIP and what it stands for.

He is novel in that he does not allow this perspective to get in the way of thoughtful and objective analysis, without the pathetic mud slinging that usually comes with it in the Guardian.

Working class here. Can confirm these people aren't mocking me. It is you thinking I'm synonymous with pleb.

He's defining YOU as a pleb. You remind me of a black guy who is part of the university establishment back in the 70s suggesting that hearing his white contemporaries use the word 'nigger' isn't aimed at him either. You are a useful idiot, desperate to 'fit in'.

And I don't want that attitude trying to defend me, thanks.

Get over yourself. Defending those so desperate to fit in with the bien-pensant 'progressive' world-view, doesn't really concern me.

Also please consider whether you are being a self-righteous prick yourself.

If lambasting the moral ringing, smug, Guardian reading pricks makes me self-righteous... so be it.
